They always had authoritarian tendencies.

And during the 60s-80s, many of them genuinely thought that the USSR, Maoist China, and Cuba were in the right. Maoism was a particularly strong influence on western leftism, including anarchism, and it's a stronger influence on wokism/sjw-ism than many people realize. It was only fairly recently that they've gone silent about that. Those three countries weren't on the right side of history, dontcha know.

The western left, even the democratic party to some degree, were also the underdogs, or at least could pretend to be the underdogs, despite engaging in a long march through the institutions.

They all but hold complete control over our institutions, so it's safer to let the mask slip off.

With no evidence whatsoever I would say that there are more people who were the bullied who become police than the bullies.

The idea that dark triad types tend to wind up in positions of authority, due to them being scheming, machiavellian assholes who do whatever it takes to obtain dominance over others, does carry water.

However, it's once again confession by projection. Even if they're correct about cops being authoritarian assholes (especially in LA of all places), it doesn't change the fact that leftists are just as bad, for the same exact reasons.

That's not even getting into the fact that ACAB is fucking retarded because they don't necessarily hate the police because they abuse their authority, but because they exercise any authority at all. They're egoists who get angry with ANYONE who stops them from doing whatever they damn well please. They envy the police and wish to hold the power they do.

Whatever alternatives to the police that leftists and ancaps could offer, is inevitably going to be more brutal, more lethal, and less forgiving than the police they replaced. Civilian militias have little incentive or ability to give quarter (as Kyle Rittenhouse implied when he admitted that he had no nonlethal means of defending himself), and there is nothing that prevents an anarchist from acting as judge, jury, and executioner if he damn well feels like it. Anarchists don't believe in due process.

Saul Alinsky once said that the price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. A constructive alternative is something that leftists are consistently unable to provide.

I actually like how at this level the horseshoe model of political spectrums works as left wing “anarchists”/anti fascists behave like ultra libertarian self determination types.

These people don’t necessarily hate the police or authorities, they just think that the world should provide while allowing them free autonomy and constant leisure time.

The problem is that neither factor in the supporting systems.

A stereotype pop-leftist from a moneyed family could convince daddy to employ from deprived inner city areas instead of outsourcing, but then they would have to put more personal efforts into remaining at college and daddy wouldn’t get to vacation every month, so it’s better to target public servants whom have become this way due to the desperation and deprivation of the people they police.

A libertarian standing his ground on his own private property avoiding “unconstitutional” taxation should remember that those taxes pay for a military and law enforcement which keeps his freedom.
If they didn’t, he would need to be fighting off more people like him who want his property.
