The problem is that republicans always bend the knee to everything the democrats want. People are sick and tired of these weak willed RINOs.That's pretty much what it is. I don't understand any of the terminally blackpilled who are embarrassing themselves with getting upset over the government doing what the SC has been telling them to do for literally decades now. This came up months ago after the abortion fiasco because the geezers actually realized "holy fuck, there's a lot of shit that we've just left hanging on a whim. We should do our jobs."
On all the things to give on, they could have chosen to cuck on something much, much worse. The problem is that republicans always bend the knee to everything the democrats want. People are sick and tired of these weak willed RINOs.
They already did that this year with cucking on gun rights. This isn't a one off thing. On all the things to give on, they could have chosen to cuck on something much, much worse.
Portman's on his way out and gay marriage was one of the things he stabbed Ohio voters in the back on. Campaigned against it, then his son came out and he switched sides real fast. He's a GOPe cuck, so no real surprise there, we'll see if Vance is any better. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't much better. No surprise both my state's US senators voted yes. Burr is gone next year and Tillis is up for reelection in 2026. Whether he runs again or not is a different story. IIRC he got primaried in 2020 but was in not danger of losing.
Me. Just watch the purity spirals the Right gets into over small gains instead of all the things. There's exactly one issue where the Right doesn't do this and it's the 2nd Amendment, where anything clawed back is seen as a win, but that's also not exclusively a Right Wing effort, just mostly Right Wing. I think it goes back to the American Right being more "Frontier/Libertarian" than Europe where it was originally rooted in Royalism and later Nationalism.Didn't somebody ITT say that the right-wing has an "all-or-nothing" mentality? Where if they get anything less than exactly what they're aiming for, it's an "unmitigated failure"?
If you're too young to remember 9/11, you're a zoomer. Mid 20's are the youngest millennials by my reckoning, but what Vyse said applies to late Millennials just as well.Define zoomer. What year range is that? I'm in my 20s. I'm feeling the effects of the impending recession under this administration, especially after graduating from college.
"Oh no, that means I won't be able to purchase Sony/Apple product!" More like, I would barely be able to afford an apartment and buy food if prices continue to increase. Representation doesn't mean shit if I cannot support myself or ask questions without being labeled a bigot/racist/sexist.
I feel sorry for our future generation having to deal with social media influencers and butchered education system.
9/11 is the best cultural marker. That's when we started sacrificing freedom for (false) security hardcoreLate 90’s (‘95-2000) is the generally accepted border between Zoomer and Millenial. The distinction I personally find useful to make is that millennials are people who lived through the rise of the social media and smartphones, whereas zoomers never knew the world before social media.
Sorryretarded 2020 - 2022 join-ons will be the fucking miserable death of this goddamned site, I swear. Literally worse at posting anything of substance than trannies.
"bUt HeS yOuNgEr AnD hAs LeSs BaGgAgE!?!!??" t. person who didn't learn their lesson about establishmentarians already, somehow, probablySeems DeSantis is bankrolled by the elites. A bunch of pro-illegal immigration CEOs. May explain his votes against the border wall.

Read this thread. Then read the replies. Nobody takes money from people like them because “they have no choice”. That’s the entire point. They do unless they take their money. If so, it’s their last choice. Leave it and stay free to govern, or take it and become beholden.nitter.it

60% of Ron DeSantis’ donations have come from donations of $50,000 or more. 54% of Donald Trump’s donations have come from donations of less than $200. Just 6% of these donations went to DeSantis. Ron DeSantis is backed by billionaires and the establishment. Here are some of themnitter.it

See? Incrementalism works.I saw this on /b/ and it made me laugh. Particularly 2016 and 2020. It's a shame people are scared of their rights until they get a nudge from someone in power telling them it's ok but they are also the same to enforce the restriction when told otherwise

Counterpoint: In both directions.See? Incrementalism works.
At what point did this even become normalized and accepted? I know Biden isn't the only president to use speech cards, and idk I just lament that we don't even have leaders that give enough of a shit about what they say to speak from the heart. That's obviously not possible with pudding brain Joe, and Trump going off the cuff sometimes worked great sometimes not so great. Obama was a good orator but that's because evil often comes with a silver tongue.View attachment 3877776
He's gone from needing cards to a binder of instructions

That picture from far away that small it looks like Biden is picking his nose
He was also notorious for using a teleprompter at all times. This was about when I started following politics, so it might have been a common criticism for anybody of the opposing party, but I remember hearing about that a lot.Obama was a good orator but that's because evil often comes with a silver tongue.
I wouldn't hold it against him for using a teleprompter but it was the fact that everyone went on and on about how great of a speaker he was, but the second he didn't have a teleprompter he would completely fall apart. He was also notorious for using a teleprompter at all times. This was about when I started following politics, so it might have been a common criticism for anybody of the opposing party, but I remember hearing about that a lot.
This is the one thing I liked about Trump's announcement yesterday. When discussing the midterm results he focused on the House win and specifically called it a stepping stone. No red wave? No big deal, what happened is still a victory, use it as a foundation to create a bigger one. Fraud and Trump ego aside it is the right mindset and it's a good thing at least someone on the federal level sees it.I wouldn't say that's exclusive to the Right. It's a product of our time.
I mentioned in the Deep Thoughts thread on dooming that much of it comes from wanting instant results. "This election is the MOST IMPORTANT OF OUR LIFETIMES! We need to secure a Thousand Year Reich now, or we're fucked!"
We need to regain a sense of long game. Re-learn to plant seeds that you will not see grow into trees.
