Boy, are they gonna be pissed by the end.i find it funny all anime watches wants Kobeni to die now after waifuing her the week before.
When The Makima Is Sus!Boy, are they gonna be pissed by the end.
When The Makima Is Sus!
oh yeahMy favorite part is that all the Makima cosplay on Twitter when they find out.....*BANG*
Also the show has a really smart part of the intro where Makima was feeding Denji a snail infected with a parasite, making it vulnerable to be eaten by predators. A perfect metaphor for their dynamic. (Though the intro is brilliant in its entirety). The scene with Power and Makima is also better illustrated in the anime with its foreshadowing, as Power's panic is much higher than her carefree attitude dictates. And when they find out Makima doesn't give a singular fuck about Denji and never did.
Or what is going to happen to Aki.
"HAHA, YOUR DEATH WILL BE HILARIOUS. I LOOK FORWARD TO IT."
Shit is going to get so much worse and it's hysterical to me. This fan base is already soft, it's going to fucking combust.
Snake/blade purgeThe secondary character purge will be glorious, and it happens thrice. A lot of reaction videos are gonna come up.
We also can't forget the Hybirds/weapon humans like Reze and Quanxi. Though they were cut by Chainsaw Man, its shown multiple times that even full on decapitation is nothing more than minor annoyance for hybrids due to their healing factor, and they are functionally immortal. Quanxi was decapitated twice then brought back both times.Literally three characters survive Part 1, four if you count the last chapter character.
Technically not a purge since none of the characters "killed" are confirmed to be permanently dead.Chainsaw purge if you count the hybrid devils Control brings back
They were only brought back by the control devil's will, or outright brought under her control, rather than through some inherent ability hybrids possess.Technically not a purge since none of the characters "killed" are confirmed to be permanently dead.
No, hybrids can explicitly regenerate from anything, as long as their devil core and trigger are intact. Quanxi outright demonstrated this when the Darkness devil beheaded her the first time, and she was revived simply by activating her devil trigger. Denji himself shows this when he was first revived after being hacked to pieces, and has continued to demonstrate it since then. They don't even need blood to do so; someone just needs to activate their trigger, as long as they have one drop of blood in them. There is ambiguity in that Control can animate corpses to do her bidding as easily as she can control the living, leaving the door open to whether they were dead or alive, but the ambiguity is there. Keep in mind, the manga has revealed nothing about the fate of the weapons humans since Part I ended. They were only brought back by the control devil's will, or outright brought under her control, rather than through some inherent ability hybrids possess.
Sure this could be retconned, but that seems very unlikely at this point. More likely the devils have gone back through the cycle of death and rebirth while the humans who made up the hybrid are now dead for real this time.
Actually four, five if we include the last chapter. Since a Part 1 character is pretty prominent in Part 2.Literally three characters survive Part 1, four if you count the last chapter character.
Who’d I miss? I was thinking Denji, Kobeni and Kishibie.Actually four, five if we include the last chapter. Since a Part 1 character is pretty prominent in Part 2.
Yoshida, the octopus guy. He was in the International Assassins arcWho’d I miss? I was thinking Denji, Kobeni and Kishibie.
Oh yeaaaah….Yoshida, the octopus guy. He was in the International Assassins arc

Also, the devils that make up the weapons humans have already been retgoned by Chainsaw devil. For whatever reason, the weapons humans are immune to being erased from existence by him even after he eliminated their concepts. They are walking paradoxes, as they continue to exist despite their devils having been eliminated by Chainsaw man. So its very up in the air (though probably unlikely) whether they would enter the normal cycle of reincarnation if their human forms did die, since their devils flat out just no longer exist.
No, its explicitly revealed that Makima can in fact control the dead as well as the living. Its just that Chainsaw Man is different (very much so since he is able to go toe to toe with the Four Horsemen at all and utterly annihilate the very concept of something he's eaten). Also, Chainsaw Man has to literally eat them to destroy concepts. Not merely kill them. And technically Chainsaw doesn't eat Makima, Denji does, which is why control wasn't eradicated. If it even could be, as its implied Control can understand, if only briefly, what concepts have been deleted.
I don't think she can control the dead, but basically anyone less powerful than her can be subsumed by her it seems as they're basically puppets of her will at that point. We can surmise that Chainsaw is stronger than her bonds of control, maybe because she never really saw Denji or even understood him. Its hard to say, as there's still a lot to go as the manga is still going on.
