As others said already, it blows my mind that a doctor, a surgeon no less in this case, can just opt out of having malpractice insurance in certain US states.

Is that lawyer lady that was posting ITT earlier this year still around? She seemed to be really on Dr. Sneed's ass for a while, i'm curious if she stopped her investigation because of Sneed not being malprac-insured or if she fell in the Troon Crusades of September.

She's still active on Twitter and her bio directs people to complain about Sneed to the Florida Attorney General.

Maybe she lost access to her KF account during the upheaval, maybe she's just had no updates for us because the wheels of justice turn slowly.

Apparently Gallagher had to "convince" the anesthesiologist to operate despite the anesthesiologist being uncomfortable with the patient's high BMI, which was almost certainly the cause of the accident (I imagine he didn't have sufficient experience with morbidly obese patients):

Absolutely horrifying. Apparently she also had would dehiscence afterwards as well, and was also brushed off.

But this sort of clusterfuck seems inevitable once a group of people have convinced themselves that doctors who refuse to operate on morbidly obese patients are simply fatphobic. Thanks to the fat-acceptance propaganda, they don't see upper BMI limits as a sign of a surgeon being sensible and cautious, they see it as a sign of bigotry. Which, in turn, means that they fail to see the obvious warning signs around a surgeon who will operate on the morbidly obese.

You know, it's crazy. With how long the thread is now, and how much we've archived, some of these victims are probably itt in screenshots.
Problem is, with how many of them are obese, there's no way to tell who's who, or how common obesity-related complications have been. I mean, just look at the below. This is just what I see right now when I check her instagram.

The anesthesia thing is simple (sort of): the higher the body mass the more difficult it is to sedate the patient while not depressing their nervous system to the extent they never wake up. The delicate calculus of medications used for sedation, paralysis, and analgesia in surgery can only be stretched so far in adjustments before you start getting unwanted effects. An then there's the fact that a lot of the drugs used are lipophilic. Add to that the fact that most obese people will, over a certain BMI particularly, have some degree of difficult airway, and you've got a real nervewracking situation for the guy managing the propofol.

These degenerate doctors create the demand with their practices. Children is the most fucked up, but what they do with adults is not condonable either.

In my opinion, the trans issue goes beyond just wanting women's safety. Having all the world legitimize and recognize these practices not only throws away reality, but also allows the mentally ill the continue having a social advantage. You've probably heard of the meme “trans women will burn the world down,” but it's real. Consequences are far too dire.

Which is why all trans surgeons should be hanged, down, and quartered, and trannies themselves sent to mental asylums. Unfortunately the day this happens seems to be far, far away...

If it was up to me, any surgeon who has ever sexually mutilated anyone like this would a) have their medical credentials revoked, b) be stripped of all money and assets, and c) have their dominant hand broken to the point that they could never hold a scalpel again.

Well if this wasn’t an entirely predictable consequence of not meeting your patient in person before D-Day (Gallagher patients have spoken glowingly in the past about how she’s happy to deal with autistic females awesome trans guys via email, when even a phone call is too much to cope with).

I hold what some might call juxtaposed views on this issue: I don't care what ill effects Troons suffer from their insane choices, yet I also think it should be illegal to do these things to them.
I guess I just really enjoy the schadenfreude.
