Commitment to NATO: Restored
Russian military confidence: Destroyed
Russian military deaths: Greater than US/Coalition deaths in GWOT in less than 1 year
Russian material losses: 8000+ as of writing
US, NATO Deaths: 0
NATO just got a whole lot more expensive to maintain and guess who foots the majority of the bill on it. That's right the US. Even if every single country in NATO paid 3% GPD (they don't) the US would still need to cover well over half of the cost of maintaining and running it. This includes bases, this includes trans-national training, this includes the big fancy exercises they do pretty much every year. This also includes money they spend on "modernization" and "equipment standardization" on eastern block countries and likely would have to spend on Sweden and Finland as chunk of their forces still use older platforms like G3s or older AK pattern rifles. They've successfully managed to increase the tension within NATO as well among existing members.
Not only that but they've been straining their relationship with the EU countries pretty much since the beginning of the war. This has been happening for awhile but now the EU portion of NATO has a reason to speed up their emancipation from the US. Don't get me wrong they'll take the money but now they know that the US portion of NATO is kinda retarded and doesn't have their interests in mind to say the least. The only people that are deep throating the US still are Poland and the UK which coincidentally also happen to be the biggest benefactors from NATO/US monetary aid when it comes to the military.
That's not even getting into the extra-costs in every day life your average Joe-Shmoe has had to swallow since week 3 of the war.
