"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

Regarding Final Fantasy XII, I think you might like it mechanically, as a programmer. The combat system is programming the character's AI. Well before the middle of the game your characters will almost fully automated and you'll only need to input manual actions for boss fights. As far as FF stories go, it's my personal favorite, and I think it's coherent, but has some melodrama as every FF does. The melodrama is not as retarded or contrived as previous entries. The series after FFX takes on more western RPG traits for gameplay. I didn't have to grind at all in my playthroughs. The absolute best part on the playtime front is the PC release has speedhacking built in so you can play at 4x speed. Grinding is only necessary for the endgame superbosses.

For those that remember the takedown request from the Australian government, a journalist from the Guardian, Josh Taylor, filed a FOI which revealed correspondence involving the Australian government, Cloudflare, and Kiwi Farms. Here's what the government received after submitting the takedown request.

Also from that thread, an Australian senator kept suggesting they revoke KF's IP allocations and even the censor thinks it's a fucking terrible idea:

Gives me some hopium when even a Boomer tasked with regulating the Internet can see what a dangerous precedent that is.

Ransomware attack targets Discord. Acquires account access, encrypts account (your welcome), and charges ransom using crypto wallet.

if you find that AxLocker has encrypted your computer, you should immediately change your Discord password as it will invalidate the token stolen by the ransomware. This may not help you restore your files, but it will prevent further hijacking of your accounts, data, and communities you join.

That cocksucking Senator is a Greens Senator. 💩

Finishing outlast today at 6pm EU / Noon ET.

Hey, wasn't able to watch either of the streams live, but I enjoyed both of them. Here is some unasked-for constructive criticism:

Make it a habit to check games for FOV (Field of View) options and increase it appropriately for 16:9 monitors or whatever feels comfortable to you. It's very often set way too low by default, to accommodate playing on the Sofa where the TV is in some distance, making it feel uncomfortable and unnatural to look at in normal, close proximity to the screen.
I'd also suggest to always disable obnoxious visual effects such as Motion Blurring, Film Grain and Depth of Field.
Since monitor settings and output vary, I also recommend adjusting the games Brightness to reasonable levels.

Outlast lacks a lot of these settings in the menu, so you will have to edit a config file to change them:

Some people psychopaths play at FOV set to 160, I feel like a ton of streamers play with the FOV set to unnatural levels, I can't watch them. With increasing FOV everything becomes distorted, and objects appear smaller, and further away. Its fine if you enjoy playing like that, and prefer the performance edge it gives you, because you can see more, as a "professional gamer." From an entertainers standpoint it's not important to set an FOV to higher than the game normally allows. I would argue its less enjoyable from a viewers perspective when FOV is set high, because of the distortion it causes, and "fish eye" effect, which can make some viewers nauseous. Increasing FOV over 100 doesn't seem to bother some people at all, I wish I was one of them. I was very happy to see a game that I liked allowed me to reduce the FOV down to 100, even though it's default was set to 110. I was ready to throw up after trying to play on 110 for 30 minutes.
Some extreme examples:

Both extremes are uncomfortable to watch. Too low FOV = Tunnel Vision, too high FOV = Fish Bowl. I'm only talking about setting it to the optimal value for 16:9 resolutions, which is usually around 90.

Looking forward to the Alien stream next week, if you stick with it.
I'm struggling to recommend much of anything, as horror doesn't really appeal to me. But I guess the game I really enjoyed lately was RE2 remake. I'm sure people would enjoy a playthrough of one of those games from you.

Jersh: I'm gonna say somethin' super racist....

Me: Sad, but at least it's not more fucking trannies.

Rackets, trannies, Chrischan and fucking baked. What the fuck is it with everyone on the internet being so perverted?

My podcasts are backlogged but I haven't listened to MATI lately. I know that October has been horrific for the site but I have to wonder when that Lowtax stream is coming, seeing as how Josh said he'd do a stream on him like a year ago.
