Chainsaw Man - Peak Fiction in the making

The eating demons part is a bit weird since the question of what happens if Chainsaw Man manages to eat some of the primordial ones like Darkness, maybe it will kickstart the apocalypse.

Chainsaw man has apparently already done drastic reality writing things in this universe. From what we know, Chainsaw man has eaten the devils representing Nazi Germany, nuclear weapons, and AIDS, thus erasing those things from existence. Those are things we all know about and we can understand how removing those things changed the world; they created an alternate history. However, then we find out the other things Chainsaw Man ate, and things get weird. These are things with no real world equivalent, but apparently existed in the world of Chainsaw Man at one point: the Mount Hio eruption, Arnolone syndrome, SOA (this one is never explained, the sixth sense that all humans apparently possessed at one point, the light of particular star that would break children's minds, and, most alarmingly, the four other possible conclusions other than death at the end of a living being's life span.

This seems like a throwaway detail, but it’s such a fun idea that it’s sold me on the comic. I didn’t care for Fire Punch too much, but I’m enjoying Dandadan. I’ll give the madman another shot.

I really enjoy the concept “fear or something makes the physical manifestation of that fear(Devil) stronger” as a story idea. And it can clearly happen at any time with something new, since we apparently have the “Chainsaw Man” Devil showing up in the manga. All those interviews in previous chapters was foreshadowing.

I wonder if “angels”, if they existed in this world, would be powered by how beloved a thing is. Because there’s some hilarious ideas in that.

Would be interesting, but there has been no indication whatsoever that Angels, Heaven, or God, for that matter, exist in this world. We also have no idea what the human afterlife looks like, since humans don't go to the "hell" the demons are from when they die.

Jesus, people are calling Himeno a groomer? The same Himeno who backed off pursuing Aki when she realized he's underage? The same Himeno who was relieved when she realized Denji rejected sleeping with her when she came on to him while drunk because she didn't want to sleep with a minor? That one?

It makes sense though. The dude had no one but pochita who has shown him any kindness or love in pretty much his entire life and he desperately craves it. He of course lacks social skills to the extreme and is mistakenly merging his testosterone driven lust for women with this fundamental desire for genuine kindness and love, so the only women he attracts are those looking to use and abuse him.

Bomb Devil at least ALSO actually liked him and everything, and I think things might have worked out. But then, you know…Control.

And Power managed to become a really good friend and I hope we get to see Denji try and find her again.

But they have all tried to kill him at some point, yeah.

Ironically, the one woman who didn't use and abuse him...was Himeno. She was the one person who genuinely would have looked out for Denji.
 
I need to either read the manga, or stop checking this thread. On the plus side, I did suspect the worst of Makima instantly.
