James Cameron's Avatar to get four sequels - The message will still be the same

Seeing this movie in theaters for Christmas because two normies want to see it. This is going to bomb big or be the top movie of all time. No in-between.
I have a feeling this will be the film that permanently kills any non-big properties from being shown in theaters. People have joked for years about movie theaters becoming only places to see MCU or other Disney crap like Star Wars, but it really looks like it is heading that way.

This film is already being set up to fail from a lot of different angles, so I don't really see any hope that is pulls off an upset and rakes in a high amount.

Please tell me they paint themselves blue while committing acts of terror.

James Cameron has been very reliable (with Films he has directed)

The idea of Avatar 2 killing MCU and Star Wars would have reigned true if Top Gun Maverick was never released.

tl;dr The Aesop Is Do as what our favorite cholo puta says to the naughty fox!

GENERAL NO GENOCIDE!

GENERAL NO GENOCIDE!

GENERAL NO GENOCIDE!

I don't know, even when I first watched Avatar in theatres, I felt as the story is like that of a poorly-written Futurama episode, and then poorly-written Futurama episodes were aired not long after (for christ's sake, the writers even jumped on the bandwagon by doing some Avatar reference).

So was I right? I don't know.

@Flexo I heard Bender and Leela got to Pandora

I suppose there's the hope that the Sky furries go to war against Aqua people so as to justify why the set pieces take place in the ocean. Instead of humans men bad story over the ocean.

I read somewhere that the plot contrivance to bring back the Colonel is that they scanned and backed up a copy of his brain prior to death and then imprinted it into an avatar body. So get ready to see Stephen Lang in blueface.
So how come they didn’t do that with original protagonist’s brother? The guy that died and they had to bring in his wheelchair brother to replace him or whatever

Maybe imprinting the cloned memories in an alien brain creates an unstable psychosis mind or something. Good for evil dehumanized villain, bad for the viewpoint hero that the audience is supposed to empathize with.

Alternatively, because we can’t make the exact same movie again otherwise.
