Careercow Brandon "Bam" Margera - From Jackass to Lolcow

He is risen, like bread. Doughy, puffy bread. His face looks like it's had too much yeast in it and beenin thebiven too long.
I don't follow Bam that closely but I didn't realize how much he's balding before. His head has gotten so fat and his eyelids have gotten thick that he's starting to look like he's morphing into a bullfrog. Went from a twink to looking like a contestant on TCAP.

Most people see Dunn dying affecting him to the point it crippled his life. But I never saw it that way. He's been a spoiled faggot his entire life that never matured.
i feel like dunn dying for sure contributed but not in the way of bam being sad about it as much as it was just one less reason for him to even try to get better. the real issue with bam is that the dude just never grew up he thought he could live that rock star care free skater life forever because thats the type of people he hung out with. till eventually he just fell so deep into it even if he tried it was almost impossible to bring himself out of it. combine that with his very obvious family connections to addiction in both his dad and uncle its pretty obvious he was gonna end up the same way.

when you grow up with 2 people in your life being fat as all fuck and almost always constantly nearing death from it but nobody seems to care then you go onwards in life getting rich very young and hanging out with people who are also massive addicts its all just a recipe for disaster.

i do believe there have been times where bam actually did wanna get better or just fix his life and either something like a close friends death or a divorce or whatever else ended up happening and instead of dealing with the stuff he just used it as an excuse to do coke or drink or whatever else. addicts on his level will look for any excuse possible to go back which is why they need a very strong support system but unfortunately some are harder to get to than others depending on the reasons why they are how they are.

i hope for his parents sake at least that he does fix himself one day but he has been this way for so long his life without all the drugs is gonna absolutely suck ass and i doubt he will live that long regardless. maybe his mom was right about the margera side of his family being cursed or all just super fucked up.

Tell me if I’m the only one who thinks he may have suffered mild brain damage through all this?
Jesus fuckin’ christ. Four seizures before he even got to the hospital. And no one thought after the first one that maybe, just maybe, this is really bad? Or were the whores and drug dealers too busy cleaning up evidence? Wow.

Funny they didn't say, "Bam went to the hospital for seizures due to drug and alcohol abuse and was found to also have Covid and pneumonia" instead, "Bam had Covid and pneumonia."

Dude, Covid and pneumonia don't give you seizures.

Wow, that's bad. You drink daily for a long time (in Bam's case being years) and you get this kind of shit? I think that Bam entered the endgame for alcoholics. Delirium tremens, massive withdrawal symptoms and liver cirrhosis on top of his ruined organs will be his future new friends. Even if he completely stops drinking and avoids booze and drugs for the rest of his life, it's damage control if anything and he won't fully recover anymore. The dude's in his forties.
But if he doesn't get his shit together now, he won't make it through 2023. If he gets another seizure attack and no one is around to help him next time (either no one's there or the dealers fuck off to try to save their own skin), he's going to choke on his own vomit.

I'd even wager that he will be in a morgue's cooling unit in the next few weeks.

The Dunn shit is just another excuse from an addict. He was toast way before Dunn's death. It's not like that was just some random accident, either. Dunn was fucking hammered and killed his own friend. The original CKY crew had completely cut Bam off by the time VLB had ended, while the Jackass crew had an intervention with him just to get 3D made. The Jackass 4 drama was just a repeat of what happened ten years earlier.

man what a joke !

So, are we thinking he ODed? It's the only conclusion I can think of with what we currently know.

I'm conflicted. I didn't want the dude to die, but I'm almost pissed that he didn't since he's such a fuck up and doesn't care.

EDIT maybe the story is legit?

But he definitely yanked himself out of the hospital against medical advice to go drink more.

It seems like Ryan Dunn dying was not just the worst thing to happen in his life but perhaps the ONLY bad thing to have happened to him to that point, his parents are like something from a tv sitcom in their affection and fawning over him his entire life particularly in youth and after that he was in a position to spoil himself, he was and remains totally sheltered from life's true harshness and as such developed zero tools to cope with it.

I’d suggest the complete lack of parental discipline is a bad thing in his case. I’m not blaming them entirely, they seem nice enough, and god knows they’re paying for any neglect a million times over now.
I’d also suggest that this was a modestly lower middle income family, working class, in the beginning of Bam’s notoriety, but their lifestyle changed dramatically in a couple years time, and Phil and April were right there for the ride.

Bam definitely fell off in skateboarding too, don’t get me wrong he hasn’t made a film or tv show in at least a decade and is now probably blacklisted for the jackass debacle but after his pretend skateboarding comeback years back he slowly alienated every established pro that he came up with.
The thing about Bam and skateboarding is that he was never any good at it. If you go back to his pre fame video parts its all throwaway park footage, even in his prime he never had a good video part. Jackass/CKY pranks is what made him and he threw that away. Most skaters who go through rough patches can usually make a comeback if they've got talent: just throw up some footage on YouTube or Instagram and people will watch it. But nobody wants to see a fat hasbeen junky struggle to blunt stall on a miniramp.

I won't PL too hard but from people I've known who've abused drink and drugs, suffering from seizures for any reason is basically the beginning of the end. It's sad but it seems like it's inevitable in Bam's case. As many others have said, you have to want to clean yourself up, and he clearly can't be fucked.
