Chile is infinitely better off with having Pinochet doing what he did. Franco was and is the savior of Spain. So I don't know what oyu are getting at. Central America is a shit hole regardless, but communism is always worse.

You clearly have very strong opinions on what was better for these countries but openly admit that you're so clueless and ignorant of cold war geopolitics that you don't even know whether the contras won or lost. How does somebody end up like this? It is never a good sign when someone tries to personalize things as you are doing with me. You don't know what I know and don't know, and in any case you won't convince that Pinochet did not save Chile from the sort of disaster that befell Cuba. I have close, intimate relations with Chileans in personal life who have only confirmed my position.
We won't agree so I do not know what the point in discussing further is. If you do not see the soft tyranny of the left, and how they will go to a hard tyranny once they have consolidated power, and that it is imperative to do it to them first (it is already probably too late), then you are deluding yourself.
