His non-physical part of the act isn't great either - There are times when the focus is on you, and times when it is not, and he doesn't seem to know what to do with himself when its not on him. From what I've been able to tolerate to watch, he doesn't know how to act in the background when the focus is away from him.

A lot of amateur entertainers struggle with finding the balance between background acting and not stealing the scene, and Jims definitely one of them. Little things like having an in-character way of holding oneself that is in line with their personality makes a big difference, while Jim just seems to stand there as Jim, rolled shoulders and mild disinterest abounds.

Jim has been getting professional training on how to wrestle but I doubt any amount of training he has will make up for his phsyical capabilities, Jim is very fat and has led a sedimentary lifestyle for a long time so he likely has poor strength and stamina which shows in his performances. I bet you if he didn't have a recognisable name he wouldn't be getting bookings because he simply isn't fit enough to be able to do decent wrestling.

What the fuck. Talk about saying the quiet part loud. Like what is "damn good" Jim? Because that is one of those things that is quantifiable. Either by record, or if we are talking about "fake" sports, recognition. So clearly not

Imagine being an actual wrestler, all that training you put in, the physical toll it takes on your body, and that the chances of making it to the big leagues are utterly miniscule so you'll be spending most of your time barely making minimum wage. Then this absolute ghoul turns up and demands to be let in despite having no training. Makes me wish for the days of Bruiser Brody or Stan Hansen, who would have smacked the shit out of anyone who treated the business as a joke.

The only way I could ever see Jim Sterling actually be in the wrestling business would be as a wrestling "manager" (FYI to those unaware that's just an acting role) and in the vein of the late Paul Bearer if not just a complete ripoff of that iconic character. Put him in an ugly suit exposing that big belly for all to see and throw some make up on him to look even more like death. Also never talk.

When writing this I thought maybe Jim could speak and give heel speeches, but Jim only knows how to do youtuber rants he's completely untrained in public speaking and talking to a large theater. While it might seem easy it's not, both Hulk Hogan and The Rock were top acts not solely for their physical performances (Hogan was notoriously mediocre in actual wrestling) but because they were good at speaking and cutting promos. Jim does not know how to deliver a rousing speech in a minute or less. His delivery is too fast and his voice is nasally.

Even if you turned him into Paul Bearer Jr. and teamed him with an Undertaker ripoff it still wouldn't happen. Yes the competition to just get a wrestling contract for WWE or AEW is vast but it's not like being a Manager isn't less difficult. It's not like Paul Heyman and Triple H will be retiring from their speaking roles in the immediate future. It's still show business and while all the struggling wrestlers will compete hard just to be hired as ham-and-eggers they'd also assuredly sign a contract just for a manager role.

Jim crying publicly that he should get a break and be a wrestler is as absurd as me declaring I should be a Hollywood Stuntman because I can ride a motorcycle.

It's painfully true. I know loads of people into the whole youtube game video scene, and I always have to explain who the fuck Jim is whenever I mention him disparagingly.

What's with this dude's hate boner for Sonic? Does he still think that making fun of Sonic is still relevant? I mean, Sonic 06 was 16 fucking years ago and some people still won't let up on it. I played Frontiers and it was pretty good, not great, but still enjoyable and certainly no where near being the "shitiest game of 2022." Most of the criticisms he has for the game are just generic things you would say about any bad game but with no examples to show for. I remember when he was calling Sonic 4 a good game even though it was absolute shit. And anyone who said it was bad were man babies because they expected a game claiming the be a direct sequel to play like the Genesis games. What does Jim think a good game even is?
