What's with this dude's hate boner for Sonic?
Seems degenerates must always have some kind of boner for Sonic.

What's with this dude's hate boner for Sonic?
I maintain the entire Sonic Frontiers chimpout was just him trying to create a backlash so he could play victim, given Sonic fans are notorious for being literally autistic and spilling their spaghetti any time you point out Sonic Team have had 20 years and still can't make Sonic move consistently in a 3D space without bugging the fuck out.

Anyway, onto more pressing matters: I thought since Jim is a bloated old misery guts, we could do our own top and bottom 5 video games again this year. Same rules as last time, the game doesn't have to have been released in 2022, you just have to have played it for the first time this year. Feel free to give details about your choices (but spoiler for length) or just a straight list, your choice.

Top 5 Games 2022
1. Sekiro - Easily my favourite FromSoft game, and the only one I've actually finished, (still not played Elden Ring,) the faster pace and emphasis on rhythmic parrying is way more up my street than dodge-rolling everywhere.

2. Nioh 2 - Nioh is probably my favourite soulslike of all time, and Nioh 2 is basically the exact same game but with everything done better (as well as the introduction of a parry system).

3. Death's Door - I hated this game on my first playthrough, but going back to do an umbrella run made me appreciate the finesse of the combat a lot more. Still has some very questionable hitboxes but for a game made by such a small team it's absolutely fantastic.

4. Prodeus - This is the first of the Boomer Shooter revival games I've played, and I'm not sure it's even the best of the crop, but I had an absolute blast playing it from start to finish.

5. Resident Evil Village - Not remotely scary, but the combat feels amazing and for the first time in history I actually found myself invested in a RE story.

Bottom 5 Games 2022
1. The Medium - I'm mainly including this to say the people freaking out over the 'toxic' ending are fucking retarded. It wasn't a metaphor, it was a literal demon possession. Unfortunately that's the only defence I have of the game (looks pretty too, I guess) because it's boring as fuck and not challenging outside of the bullshit insta-kill stealth sections.

2. Deathloop - I remain convinced if you took someone who had never played Dishonored and showed them it and Deathloop side by side they'd assume Dishonored was the newer game. Deathloop is a regression in every way shape and form; there is nothing to be found here that isn't already in Dishonored and a million times better.

3. Ghost of Tsushima - Braindead, poorly implemented combat, a predictable story with boring, generic samurai movie characters, excruciatingly dull side activities (except for the duels, those were boss), the only redeeming features are a legitimately beautiful (albeit far too big) world and the very last fight was absolutely great.

4. DOOM Eternal - Might catch some flack for this one, but this was a major disappointment given how much I loved 2016. The platforming and general movement mechanics are fantastic, but I hate how they've reduced the dynamic combat into a game of matching specific weapons to specific enemies to take out their weak points. Also feel like all weakpoint destruction should give bonus ammo, not just the one enemy late in the game. Still a lot of fun, but could have been much better.

5. Biomutant - I've not finished this one yet, but I already kind of hate it. The combat is lifeless, with enemies only reacting to your hits under specific conditions, the world is boring to look at and explore, the dialogue is fucking insufferable because you need to hear everything twice and it's overburdened with mechanics that bog down the experience instead of enhancing it.

Regretfully, I didn't try too many new games this year, and I didn't dislike any that I did. So this time I present:
My 10 Favorite Games I Played in 2022
  1. Last Call BBS: The last hurrah for Zachtronics and it did not disappoint. You get 8 small but very entertaining titles in an aesthetically pleasing package, plus some nice little anecdotes that may or may not reflect real events. Plus they put out a compilation of the fun-as-fuck solitaire games they made over the years, which I also recommend.
  2. Card Shark: Taking a chance on a game Yahtzee reviewed, I got a clever series of minigames centered on cheating in gambling games. Coupled with an enticing period piece of a narrative, I was impressed.
  3. Alan's Automaton Workshop: This year's non-Zach programming title. Steampunk aesthetic is decent and the puzzles are well-paced in difficulty.
  4. McPixel 3: A fast-paced point and click adventure that's equal parts clever, irreverent, and utterly ridiculous. Get yourself out of danger with a clever combination of items and set pieces, or just kick everyone in the crotch and pee on everything. Something ought to work.
  5. The Case of the Golden Idol: A mystery game with a gruesome setting and themes. The deductions you make range from fairly simple to very challenging, and the story takes a few big leaps that keep things interesting.
  6. Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Not only does this translate the gameplay of Kirby to a 3D format competently, it enhances it with a bevy of combat options and extra content. Special mention goes to the Treasure Road stages and the post-game campaign.
  7. Bowser's Fury: I already liked Super Mario 3D World enough, but giving it this more open-world structure enhanced it greatly. Fingers crossed this sort of structure is retained in the next game.
  8. Picross X: Picbits vs Uzboross: Last year I said Jupiter ought to spice their main series up. With the faster pace and variety of level effect, I dare say they accomplished just that.
  9. Atari 50: Another collection of Atari games, but one that presents the company's history in a compelling way. Credit to them for expanding on the systems included (Jaguar anyone?), plus some fun new titles like Airworld and Vctr Sctr. Now give us a new Midway collection, WB.
  10. Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time: Yes the collectibles are ludicrous and alternate Tawna is lame. But the core platforming is still fun as hell and the new gimmicks work well enough.

And as an extra bonus:
10 Games I'm Looking Forward to in 2023 (and later)
  • Spongebob: The Cosmic Shake (January 31st): If the trailers are any indication, this will serve as a proper follow-up to BfBB.
  • Hogwarts Legacy (February 10th): Not just to meme or be mean, I'm intrigued by the concept and what's been shown so far.
  • Theatrhythm Final Bar Line (February 16th): Curtain Call and Melody of Memory were great, I expect good things from this.
  • Clive 'n' Wrench (February 24th): Yet another 5th-gen era inspired platformer, but a solid looking one.
  • Cook Serve Forever (Q1 2023): Loved the CSD series, eager to try this one.
  • Storyteller (March 23rd): A fun little puzzle game about recreating stories. Demo was fun, too.
  • Fraymakers (???): Mugen meets Smash Bros meets indie games. If only it didn't get delayed again after the beta went out...
  • Bits & Bops (???): Indie Rhythm Heaven with the charm and gameplay on point. Worried about the amount of content though.
  • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (???): Rocksteady's name inspires enough confidence to warrant my attention.
  • Dreamsettler (???): The sequel to Hypnospace Outlaw, so I'm invested.

10. Dying Light 2
9. Chocobo GP
8. Ashigaru: The Last Shogun
7. Diablo Immortal
6. The Last Oricru
5. Scorn
4. Babylon's Fall
3. Gotham Knights
2. The Callisto Protocol
1. Sonic Frontiers
Of course this stupid faggot would put Sonic Frontiers as #1 on his worst games of the year list, surpassing Chocobo GP (barebones game with extremely predatory microtransactions being pushed on kids), Babylon's Fall (unfinished game with awful graphics, dogshit gameplay, GAAS model), Gotham Knights (boring game with bad combat and story). You're predictable, Jim.
What's with this dude's hate boner for Sonic? Does he still think that making fun of Sonic is still relevant? I mean, Sonic 06 was 16 fucking years ago and some people still won't let up on it. I played Frontiers and it was pretty good, not great, but still enjoyable and certainly no where near being the "shitiest game of 2022." Most of the criticisms he has for the game are just generic things you would say about any bad game but with no examples to show for. I remember when he was calling Sonic 4 a good game even though it was absolute shit. And anyone who said it was bad were man babies because they expected a game claiming the be a direct sequel to play like the Genesis games. What does Jim think a good game even is?
He got high off of giving Sonic Colors a 4/10 back when he worked at Destructoid and people rightfully calling him a dumbass for it, then rating Sonic 4 (a game Sonic fans despise) an 8/10 JUST to make people mad.

Making people mad for attention is all Jim really has to cling on to. I'm pretty sure that's why Jim trooned out, all those years of negative attention (both online and in real life) really has to be draining after a while. So trooning out, going by she/they pronouns despite being a man and cramming in a female name into his already extremely male name gives him the right to demand respect by default no matter how nasty or ignorant what he's saying is.

It's finally here, Jimmy's shit game list.View attachment 4150074and here's the view count as of this post.

He acknowledges his creepy dungeon house and how laughable a figure he is with his bright pink bubblegum bullshit aesthetic, but then says he became a full-time professional wrestler and "grew out" his "tits and hips to extreme proportions". The footage is badly lit and goes in and out of focus, and it obviously sounds like shit because he's in a desolate brick room.
He skirts so close to self-awareness, it's really peculiar.

Also, and excuse the doublepost, but one single frame containing the word break was left in for some reason. I presume for an ad break, something that he used to be proud of not having, so it was pretty funny.

Well, I made the mistake of reading the youtube comments on Jim's top 10 shittiest video. Aside from some obvious bots, it's just sycophants. Maybe it's the way it's presented to me, but I don't see much actual videogame stuff in there.

I'm not a reviewer. But I do like playing video games. I also have strong opinions on what I think makes a game good. So here is my personal top 5 best and shittiest I played in 2022. The first one is a bit long, sorry. It has been a very heavy JRPG year for me.

Top 5 bestest
5. God of War Ragnarok. It was on the shittiest list until I finished it last night. Why? The gameplay seems to be a nuisance to the game, which wants to be a film. I nearly turned it off when exposition girl made me forage for fruit. The tone was all over the place. The shifts between scenes, banter and fights was awkward. Characters would be angry in a scene, then go to lolsy banter, then fight for their life and then go back to banter which is cut off by another gather pointless gathering mission speil. For me, a good game has to use gameplay to tell the story, not make you walk to a spot to press x to hear exposition. I was ready to write this off as another sandbox AAA disappointment, when they actually did just that at the end. (Massive cunting spoiler ahead do not read if you've not played it I am not joking).
Since 2018, the dwarf brothers are a game mechanic that allows you to equip and upgrade your stuff in a fun expositional way. In Ragnarok, they are presented as such that they are almost a core mechanic. Their home is your hub, they have their shops everywhere, they come with you on missions and develop as characters. You are lured into a sense of security that nothing can happen to them. Then when something fucking does you are forever reminded of this event and of how you took their presence for granted whenever you see the empty shops and later when Lunda is there. Your actions had consequences, lasting consequences, and this is demonstrated through game mechanics
Anyway, that is what propelled it from shittiest to best for me, despite all its flaws. Well played.

4. Mass Effect. I have been replaying the whole series out of boredom, but I think it still holds up as an original and fun action RPG. It has high replay value. I played it on nightmare mode to frustrate myself and had a good time this time around. Characters are fun, gameplay is entertaining. The Citaldel is the closest we'll ever come to a Star Trek TNG videogame.

3. Tales of Berseria. I never really liked the Tales of series, but this one I did. It was simple and effective. You're a hot chick in lingerie with a huge sword. You've been thrown in a dungeon by a madman you once called your brother who murdered your family and village. After years of eating others in that pit, a fluke allows you to escape one day. You emerge a monster (still hot and still in lingerie obviously) with only one goal: revenge. Simple, effective, and fun. Doesn't pretend to be anything else. Truly the B-movie of JRPGs.

2. Stray: I bought it because it had a cat on the front. The idea of playing as a cat appealed a lot. I was not disappointed. Yes it was tiny and had a few inconsistencies (how smart is that cat exactly?) but I honestly had so much fun climbing up stuff and kicking over stuff and solving the 'mystery' of what happened. It was like reading a nice anthology short story. Very comfy. Very cute.

1. Dragon Quest Builders 2. I know. It's old. What I expected, based on the 1st one and others of its ilk, was a minecraft clone building game with fun dragon quest themes. What I got was a long and engaging tale of friendship, betrayal and brotherhood with appealing characters, stakes I cared about and some fun building as a core mechanic and vehicle to boot. Does not deserve to be lumped in with other minecraft clones; deserves to be called a full-fledged RPG.

Top 5 shittiest (which is much shorter I promise.)
5. Genshin Impact. It is garbage and I can't quit it.
4. FF7 Remake Integrade. Busywork. Stop trying to be a AAA sandbox square and make a fucking game.
3. Atelier Sophie. This should not be called an RPG, but instead a collector game.
2. Outer Worlds. I have sandbox fatigue. I couldn't even get past the first few hours.
1. Tiny Tina's Wonderland. I hated every single line of dialogue in there. The tiktok/twitterspeak was just too much for me. While I liked the map mechanic, I hated the story. I didn't finish it. It was a hollow modern world copy of something original and fun (Bunkers and Badasses DLC). See also movie reboots. Harumpf.

I actually saw this on gamepass recently and installed it but haven't started yet. Seeing it here will bump it up on my play list.

10. Dying Light 2
9. Chocobo GP
8. Ashigaru: The Last Shogun
7. Diablo Immortal
6. The Last Oricru
5. Scorn
4. Babylon's Fall
3. Gotham Knights
2. The Callisto Protocol
1. Sonic Frontiers
This list doesn't make any sense to me, besides Diablo none of those games kick off anything in my head to why they are bad. maybe a couple were mediocre or forgettable but seems like an awful list and I refuse to listen to this fat retards reasoning for it.

Also the fact pokemon is not on there really says a lot because no matter if you like pokemon or not its still the highest grossing multi media franchise and there is no excuse at all for why the game was so bad performance wise.

Sonic Frontiers doesn't exactly look like a good game (I suppose I'm guilty of mostly going off footage rather than personal experience, but lol the open world just looks so bad compared to the likes of Elden Ring and Breath of the Wild), but the worst I could imagine is that it makes it to position 10 on a list like this because its fairly high profile, its far from the actual worst game for the whole year.

He said he's going to do a video on it extensively documenting all the ways she's a fascist and the game supports fascism, but no, he will not play it.
How the fuck does that game support fascism??! Are you shitting me??!

Of everything, they have shown from it. Nothing about screams fascism. This is yet another lie they want to build against anything that has HP on it. Gotta virtue signal that hatred even if it's built on dishonesty.

What a ride this thread is, from watching since Digital Homicide days to seeing what 'Stephanie' has become is absolutely wild. Jim should have got help instead, he has the spare income to do so, but we all know that's not how any of the cows work.. shame.

That implies he could ever put his ego aside, and check himself. He cannot do that as years of negativity have long deluded his mind. Sterling has to be right as he THINKS he knows what's best for the industry even if it's clear he has long gathered a hatred for the same thing he onced spoke passionately about. Jim is simply too far gone to go back.

This is a pretty common theory on Twitter, the source of all important information for troons, that since Rowling has revealed herself as a fascist (source: also troon Twitter) by the transitive property this makes every part of Harry Potter fascist and again by the transitive property makes a video game based on Harry Potter also fascist.

Ahead of Jim's end of year review, I've updated his Top & Bottom over time list. This was made more annoying thanks to YouTube doing more pointless updates to their layout.
Jim Top Ten Over TIme.png
The most fascinating thing to note about this is that we now see a fairly consistent trend over 3 years that his Top Ten Shittiest performs as well as the previous year's Top Five Best. Well, maybe 'fascinating' is a strong word, but I certainly find patterns like this interesting, as well as the generally plummeting performance of his channel.

I wonder how many of these he actually played lol

the subreddit r/gamingcirclejerk are even banning everyone who posts anything positive about Hogwarts Legacy boasting they've banned 1,150 "transphobic" people as they believe anyone who wants to play the game must be transphobic.

It's even being reported on some sites - https://kotaku.com/hogwarts-legacy-controversy-reddit-harry-potter-rowling-1849933298

Guessing Jim is one of the people riding this wave of weirdness because there's simply a game about Hogwarts.

Speaking of Jim on HRT, there was a pretty repulsive selfie along with it which I'll spoiler so only the truly brave here can share in my pain.

Today I saw a video of a gentleman being dragged by a fedex tractor trailer about 500 yards before the video cut off; screams coming out while his bone, organs and sinew were being painted on the cold hard concrete after his failed attempt to jack the trailer for its content were met with a panicked driver flooring it, catching him in the wheels in the process.

The above picture is by far the worst thing I've seen today
