Despite my skepticism of the Ukraine war, I still find the far left pro-EU channels on YouTube politicalizing the war disgusting. The right wing of Europe for years argued for energy dependence on Russian oil by using nuclear power and at least buying oil from allies like the United States and Canada. It was the rightwing of Europe that wanted to have defense independence from the United States and NATO but laughed at by leftist parties for being outtouched by painting Russia as an enemy. Fuck the Americans, they want us to pay not for oil but for their super expensive gas that´s 3-5 times more expensive than Russian just as they expect us to continue taking hits on our economy from the sanctions that dont impact them at all, and fuck the Canadians and their environment destroying and expensive oil.
Nuclear energy is good but there was no issue paying for Russian oil and gas until we got involved in the Neocon coup in Ukraine. The EU pushed the issue just far enough, the bastard pro-russian oligarch president re-signed the accord and everything was gonna be fine and dandy.

I don't think you understand how large Sevastopol is, both as a symbolic site due to the Battle of Sevastopol during WW2 and how large of a naval facility it is. You can't simply build a site like that out of thin air in less than a decade. It's been the home base of the Black Sea Fleet since 1783 and they're willing to fight tooth and nail for that shit.
