It's somewhat understandable for games with very insignificant gameplay like visual novels because the experience really won't be that much different compared to your own playthrough but if you're watching someone go through the Soulsborne games or games with more involved gameplay like Devil May Cry? That's something I can only see peak consoomer and influencer fanboys doing.I will never, ever understand the kind of people who would prefer to watch someone else play a game than play it themselves. I understand following a streamer you like for the whole parasocial relationship thing, but not foregoing playing a game to watch someone else do it. Half the reason games are so satisfying is because you have to push through difficult and shitty parts yourself for your payoff.
