The issue with judging someone on twitch by surface numbers like views is that you can have a reasonably successful twitch account while also having low viewership, it all depends on if people whale for you or not and how many subs you have. I might just be a somewhat poor twitch sleuth but as far as I know beyond visable leaderboards that some streamers have on their page there is no real ways of guessing how much he might earn from twitch.

I agree it's impossible to speculate on his Twitch revenue from this, (although from what @AngryTreeRat says it's likely he's not making much if anything on Twitch,) I just find it amazing that a man who once had almost a million subscribers on YouTube and has 200K followers on Twitter can only muster a few thousand people to watch him on Twitch at any given time.

I get that different platforms = different audiences and all, so maybe I'm making something out of nothing, but for someone as big as Jim used to be it's just really funny to me the kind of live audience he is able to pull. Maybe if he ever livestreamed on YouTube we'd be able to get a better figure.

I just find it amazing that a man who once had almost a million subscribers on YouTube and has 200K followers on Twitter can only muster a few thousand people to watch him on Twitch at any given time.

I know this probably doesn't necessitate mentioning but fuck it I had to sit through a few minutes of his livestream for this. I'm honestly astounded that there would even be 1-3k individuals willing to watch his livestreams at all (yes I know his Jimquisitions still pull a lot of views and that also makes me wonder what kind of people unironically watch his dreck).

I decided to watch a few minutes of him playing Elden Ring, and within the span of three minutes he announced to chat he's moving his skirt and taking off his leggings, makes an obscenely unfunny joke about discord moderators flocking to his stream cause he's so damn sexy "wanking themselves to oblivion" and horrifies us all with the line "if I get anymore confident I'll make an Onlyfans" (to my knowledge I don't think he has one).

This was 10 months ago so maybe someone has already mentioned all this I will gladly eat those clocks, regardless this was me just checking out a subsection of a subsection of his streams and this was the "quality content" I got. The notion of 200k people watching today's Jimquisition is one thing but even a 200th of that number watching what I just saw will probably keep me up at night as to what kind of viewer base enjoys this for potentially hours at a time.

Basically unsurprising to us all Jim's livestreams are just more of his usual quality writing just somehow more unfunny and unfiltered.

I think the most horrifying part for me is seeing Jim in an environment where he's not talking through a script or having time to think before posting to Twitter or his blog but instead talking live, off the cuff so to speak. Unlike most content creators who would act a bit more like a real person than a persona when streaming, here we have Jim acting arguably worse than he does in a Jimquisition episode. If that doesn't speak to the depths of Jim's lolcowdom I don't know what does.

Jim unfiltered has always been very sexually explicit and degenerate to put it lightly. Even during fistshark he was the most likely to make a "sexual" "joke", and I remember the outtakes from Patreon getting leaked and it was really just a bunch of Jim being an oversexed degenerate.

It’s actually not as big of a decline as I thought there would be, however most of the subscribers will only be chucking in a very small amount of money each so imo cancelling probably isn’t due to people trying to save money, it is likely due to no longer having an interest in supporting him.
