Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

Which are your favorite Gen 9 Pokemon (including paradox forms)?
Mine are Sprigatito, Maushold and Tinkaton.
In my opinion, SVs roster of new pokemon is the weakest since Gen 6 but it offers some really creative Designs too.
Clodsire, Skeledirge, and Koraidon are my favorites. Koraidon in particular due to being a cover legendary and not being some all powerful god or manifestation of an abstract concept. Its just some big, goofy lizard that just happens to be incredibly strong.

I like messing around in Picnic because sometimes weird stuff happens... like my Gholdengo spinning around while sleeping, I guess locked on to the ball still (?).

Or my Pokémon just staring at the ball like a bunch of hypnotized weirdoes.

Iono throwing an electric Tera on her levitating ghost to have no weaknesses is the content Tera was made for
Honorable mention to Larry's Staraptor, because that shit will take people by surprise, especially if you were stalling with paralysis or someshit just to style on him.

Otherwise, it is disappointing that none of the other gym teams have Tera appropriate pokemons.

A few attempt, like the water gym using an ice type to counter grass types but the turn 1 tera just means they always eat a supereffective move. At least the Staraptor is fast enough to potentially mangle your Fighting types.
Imo what they should have had is a check on what type you have to see if they Tera or not. Lets use Brassius' Sudowoodo as an example:
If you had a fire, bug or flying type out, he'd call your bluff on him using Tera and hit you with a rock slide while you ineffectually hit him with an ineffective move. But if you had switched to a water or ground type, he grass tera's to hit you.

Used this ghost in BDSP UU, its coverage is insane. Plus the poison type holds gengar back after it lost levitate, mismagius still floating like a madman with less weaknesses than the OG Ghost.
Sure, Mismagius is great, but it doesn't have the sheer bulk that Dusknoir has. Shame it doesn't have any reliable physical ghost STAB.

Poltergeist is pretty close, but the reliance on your opponent having a held item holds it back somewhat.

If you have to answer the thirsty messages from paypigs, you fear no man.

100 Attack is not that scary tbh. Dusknoir is cool, sad it's too niche tho.

Dusknoir would be used more if it didn't have the autistic trading requirement to evolve Dusclops. It should have just been added to the species that use dusk stones to evolve along with haunter.

Mismagius has always been my go-to Ghost-type and I've always used one whenever I could since the original Diamond/Pearl. I love that they have access to Power Gem and Mystical Fire because I hardly ever have any Rock or Fire types on hand. Also Energy Ball, Dazzling Gleam, Thunderbolt, need I go on? :)

I never really used Gengar because trade evolution and even when they became more easily available, they got nerfed anyway. I'll stick with my ghostly Hat Mage and Golden Surfer.

Unfortunately still weak to having its shit pushed in by me, the Main Character, and a squad of 6 wildly overleveled lads due to permanent EZ-share.

Then again, I really liked it when the lady gave teddiursa a lil bug hat.

On the subject of Ghost types, Chandelure is a personal favorite. I know there are plenty of people who hate its design, but how could you hate a Gothic haunted chandelier with a jack-o-lantern face?

Trevenant also ranks high on the list of favorite Ghost types. Love the idea of a haunted tree that attacks people who enter its' woods. Great design, too.

lolwtf, chandelure is one of the best designs for a pokemon, fuck everyone else. frankly the entire litwick line is fantastic. and the progression from a candle to a lantern to a chandelier is simple, yet genius. you got good taste. trevenant is a neat pokemon, though it's not one of my favorites. i'm more of a gourgeist fan, myself. kinda reminds me of a heartless from kingdom hearts, tbh. also pumpkaboo is fucking adorable.

I honestly don't even understand the hate for Gen 5 Pokémon in general tbh; some of my favourites come from there such as the Vanillite line everyone likes to complain about and the Gothita line. Chandelure is a great Pokémon and the shiny is pretty neat too with the orange flames. I used one in Sword since there was no Mismagius and I also used one in my original White playthrough. That 145 Special Attack is no joke though.

I always found Phantump to be super cute. I guess while it's Ghost-type time, I loved Spiritomb as a kid but found the requirement to get one in the original Diamond/Pearl games to be retarded. Of course kid me used an Action Replay to get one. :)

I was simply trying to get some Egg moves and ended up hatching a Shiny as a surprise. My first Shiny of 2023!

Gen 5 has some really good designs and some that are weird, bland or straight up ugly.
But c'mon you have Hydreigon, Excadrill, Scolipede, Chandelure, Cofagrigus, Serperior, Ferrothorn and many more hits.
It's also the first gen that finally payed the bug type some well-deserved respect, after the necessary move update in form of X-Scissor and U-Turn from gen 4 of course.

Ghost types in general are one of the types with more fleshed out designs but in later gens they are not as flavorful as the ghosts from gen 3 to 6, while the fairies are getting more sinister every gen after their debute (from boring things like Aromatisse to Mimikyu, Grimmsnarl and Hatterene)

It is some bullshit that Paradox Pokemon are not allowed on VGC. Guess I can play around with them for a full year though.
