The worst thing about authors at things like this is that they can't tell when you're just talking to them because you feel bad that they're sitting there alone and it's awkward to see another human being in that situation. I get that you'd slit your wrists if you didn't rationalize your decisions, but they still have to talk like they're better than everyone else and are just misunderstood geniuses. It's gross, you write bad Lovecraft rip-offs, great use of your genius, dummy. Here's $12, I'll take the one with the redhead dressed like Indiana Jones on the cover.

Pat can't even post a pity conversation photo. It's either that he's that unpitiable or no one at the con had empathy. Both, I suppose.

He is superficial to the core.

Literally his entire persona is the result of a deeply autistic manchild wanting some aesthetic "status" and perpetual praise from the world to match what his failures of parents smothered him with unearned from birth, and throwing on whatever gimmick he thinks will get it for him from social media, no matter how petty and meaningless said praise is.

The fact he has gone to such legendary levels to attack anyone and everyone who directly or indirectly mocks him is testament to how solely driven by tism his schtick is as opposed to some cynical grift or sickfuck fetish like many other specimens.

“Infinite regression” is the point where an abstract argument becomes circular in its logic, like the chicken and egg thing. You need a chicken to lay an egg, but an egg is the only place you can get a chicken from. But a chicken had to have laid that egg, right?

I know that’s not a great example because you CAN structure an answer to break the circle, but it illustrates the essence of infinite regression.

Fatrick just used it because it sounded profound. Even if his retard brain created some form of an infinite regression involving shooting victims, it would not be reasonable to expect other people to psychically pluck it from the fat, pickled wreckage of his mind.

People who want to LOOK like they’re smart love saying shit like this because if they’re called out for it, they’ll filibuster and act like YOU’RE just not smart enough to understand what they’re saying. If it ever happens to you, feel free to ask them to explain it.

Unrolling a circular chain of justification is one way to get an infinite chain of justification with no un-justified claims. You can also present an infinitely large argument of the following form:
Claim 1 is supported by Claim 2. Claim 2 is supported by Claim 3. Claim 3 is supported by Claim 4, and so on.

But the important thing to remember about justification is that there's absolutely no way to justify being as fat and stupid as Pat.

Speculation but I think it’s multifactorial:
  • High incidence of autism, leading to lives lived in front of screens and resulting forward head
  • Fucked or nonexistent self-esteem causing them to shrink in on themselves subconsciously
  • Trying to seem smaller to be closer to the feminine smol bean ideal
  • Skeletal issues because of exogenous hormone use
  • Maybe: parents who didn’t teach them how to stand up straight
