Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

So what is more ethically wrong, fucking an adult woman with the brain of a dog, or fucking a dog with the brain of an adult woman?
Dog brain is more wrong. The fact that the least ethical one is also the one with the body you’d actually want to fuck adds to it as well.

See this is the question that, if answered, will result in the dissolution of eternity. I would rather just not know.

I miss these three like you can’t even believe.

What did you think of the 2011 Spielberg adaptation, if you saw it?
2011 version was not too bad the more I look back at it. If anything, I just thought the 3D look of TinTin seemed rather uncanny when I was younger. It was proof, though, that Spielberg can at least stay true to the vision of Hergé’s creation.

Talking about Shrek, it seems the YT algorithm listened, and it looks like one of the big LEGO YouTubers, Ashnflash is now making it big on LEGO ideas with a Shrek set. I hope he gets it through as this is Shrek’s second chance at LEGO.

I really wanted to write about this though as the news sent me down a rabbit hole and now I am quite a bit sad. Remember how this was Shrek’s second chance? Well, the first was with the big crossover title LEGO Dimensions. The game only got two out of the three years it promised, and as such multiple sets were cancelled. Many of which happened to relate to western animation.

LEGO was going all in on animation year 3. Had the year happened, we could have gotten Shrek, How To Train Your Dragon, The Croods, and Captain Underpants from DreamWorks. There was also Despicable Me from Illumination. Nickelodeon had TMNT and Last Airbender. WB was going in with Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes. British cartoons like Tintin and Thunderbirds were set to appear. Sony was going to give The Angry Birds Movie. Then finally, we had CN with Steven Universe. There was also the Smurfs. It is sad that none of these came to fruition thanks to year two being a mismanaged mess because Tt didn’t know what the audience of the game was.

Original series typically don’t have this issue. Say what you want about Steven Universe, it is not dragging past media down and makes it so it can only be judged on its own merit. Hell, Steven very much depicts a passion for previous media like Sailor Moon, Sonic, and much more. It becomes a more tolerable watch due to this.
Eh... what?
Man, i dropped SU after all those delays and i'm never go back.
And i always say: since i know about how Rebecca destroyed the entire concept of Rose Quartz i'm not more interested.
At this point i prefer talking about why the Fire Nation hasn't nothing wrong and the Earth Kingdom aniquilated the rest of the Air Monks.

SU was one of those shows i used to really like, to an autistic degree, but then as time went on I just fell off. And got into other shows (thank god), and now looking back I realize the writer got worse and worse, they made a series that should've at most 3 seasons into 5 seasons dragging out a story to a retarded degree for filler episodes.

I am on an animation forum on Kiwi Farms, this should come with the territory.

Also sorry, been on a kick to try Dimensions again as it was the only good open-world AT game or even PPG game we got.

Steven is very obviously inspired by magical girl series, and Rebecca has claimed Sonic as an inspiration for the visuals. Also Amethyst has a spin move identical to Sonic. I want to say Yoshi’s Island was another claimed inspiration, along with a variety of anime. I believe Pan was the one to relay the information, but I may be wrong.

It was a big series when it began and had loads of promise. The story had the issue of being dragged out, yet not long enough. The series was probably the perfect length, but they choose to flesh out Beach City rather than get to the conflict. The Diamonds have rushed development, particularly White because episodes were allocated to filler rather than the main story. I get Rebecca wanted Beach City to be a character, but she never got that to work and killed off the interest because of it.

Don't forget about the epilogue series that showed us what happened after the events of the original series, Steven has psychological trauma because of his mother's actions and a battle with bismuth who he didn't even kill, just got bubbled iirc.

Rose is a typical trope in fiction, where you build up a character as a saint and then slowly reveal that they're an actual person with flaws. I get why you wouldn't like that, but it's working as intended at least. Personally I feel her being a Diamond only made her attempts to manage an ultimately tragic situation (and being too retarded to do so because of the other Diamonds treating her like shit) more interesting, not less.

He drew Rose's sword (probably intending to block) and stabbed her through the chest as she was going for the killing blow. I'd probably remember that lol.

Anyway that's my autism quota for the day, here's something entirely different. Wallace and Gromit is back in 2024 with a new film! There's also an Escape Room called A Grand Way Out being made, but that's something for another thread.

Of course, like was said in this thread; this negative popularity gave to the stream plataform gains.
It's a sad tale.

Sure it is. I totally believe the information let out by the company funding the show. This is the same as “best ever debut for an hbo Max animated series ever”.

It’s a nothing achievement. Full of sound and fury signifying nothing.

At first I was like "FUCK YEAH!" But then....who'll they get to replace Peter Sallis as Wallace? He was irreplaceable, IMO. Whoever they get to replace him needs to be exact. Otherwise, imma have to pass, chief.

Actually, that article is just saying the exact same thing. It’s not “most popular show”, it’s “the debut week was the most successful!”, literally the exact same thing it said last week. Which means the following episodes did NOT do well.
