Thats a good point.

Is Nick's youtube monitized? I remember youtube did super chats after the adpoclilisp

Nick shouldnt talk about money, and keep any fancy buyings to himself.

Say the big trial streams were a windfall he was/is greatful for and maybe he should dail back the streaming have one day where he sleeps off his hangover.

This is why I said what he should be doing is hoarding his earnings and investing them, and why it's a red flag for him to be dropping tens of thousands on unnecessary shit like sports cars. Social media revenue is super fickle over time especially when you're a person who is prone to being censored for wrongthink like Nicky boy. If you didn't save up when the big bucks are rolling in then you could end up like Wings or Boogie. Going back to a "regular" job is probably impossible at this point or at least gonna be super difficult again judging from the history of other lolcows/Internet figures.

If you want to look over the court documents of Steve Quest v Nicholas Rekieta

Go here:

Case Number:
34-CV-23-12

Edit:

His local Minnesota lawyer is interesting.....

Seems to practice in both Minnesota and Arkansas. Along with being the general counsel for Satanists and their fight against the pro-lifers....

Just an FYI, there is a dedicated thread for the lawsuit:
The people there have been good at keeping tabs on the docket and uploading new documents quickly.

EDIT: Oh, there was also some argument about "spreadsheets" that people were getting into. I'm not sure of the context and it was too annoying to piece together since you can't use replies to jump to the referenced post but once we can do a keyword search on Himedall's file it could be interesting.
The spreadsheet has to do with the Murdaugh trial that Steve Gosney and Branca were talking about on the stream while Nick was out teaching. Someone in the chat put something together to track the timeline, or something like that. Branca was giving notes on it.

If you want a laugh, tune in when Gosney's on stream, because he's a clueless, unfiltered dork in the best way possible -- I say this with affection. He interrogates Nick on today's trial stream as to why his Vegas get-together, with a bunch of mid-to-low-level YouTubers/streamers, is worth $50 per ticket, and Nick's brain tripped for a few seconds. Nick can do what he wants, but him trying to justify why this gathering is worth the same amount (or more) as a decent lineup of bands for a concert got a chuckle out of me. You can crap on Geeks + Gamers and Nerdrotic all you'd like, but they cover the cost of their event venues. If $5,000 is too rich for Nick's blood, he should get his other main-event pals to chip in, or get a sponsor to cover things. Grift the sponsors for this, not your fans, who are most likely racking up some decent travel expenses just to get to Vegas.

I dunno I think he could try to practise law and just take on one case at a time, or fuck hire a sccrub fresh out of law school
Re: all the money talk his parents are multimillionaires because his grandpa was a very wealthy and smart man he’s just waiting for his parents to croak so he gets that sweet inheritance that’s also probably why he’s gone full retard now that he has money. It’s been talked about itt quite a bit actually

Nick was never known as an e-beggar, not when I was watching his stuff at least. So why would he all of a sudden have to be one now? E-begging is never a good look, that's how you end up like DSP and Wings. If he actually has financial difficulties despite making 7 figures that's on him and he needs to quit spending money on trips to Jamaica and Balldos. If he doesn't have money problems well then there you go. Either way he should just shut the fuck up about money. This wasn't a topic of interest on his streams when he was "coming up," allowing it to be one now seems like unnecessary drama.

All streamers that accept money from their audience are e-beggars. No exceptions. Not every beggar asks directly for your financial aid, some sit silently with their with their cup by their side. Though, I've sat through enough Locals / Alternative Platform / Alternative Donation Method shilling, even before he went to shit, to say that he's certainly done his fair share of explicit begging.

That said, a spoiled rich lawyer / e-celeb even considering asking his almost unanimously less-fortunate audience for money for his lolsuit from a retard like Monty that he hired a needlessly expensive lawyer for, is fucking pathetic. Speaking of which... He's stated time and time again over the years, that high-profile expensive attorneys aren't necessarily any better than cheaper ones. Wonder whatever happened to that piece of wisdom? Guess that goes straight out the window once it's him being sued. More so when you may potentially be getting your zealots to foot the bill. Sure was a nice cope so he could tell himself he was just as competent as any other attorney while it lasted.

Would you happen to have a timestamp for this? That sounds hilarious. According to another poster, he mentioned how he preferred the YouTube and Rumble chats to Locals because of the other stuff that goes on in there. Secret farmer confirmed? Or just someone normal who's also wondering what's going on?

The porn filter is discussed here at about page 1215-1225. It's not new, and the receipts are up here already.

I believe the previous poster was referring to this in regards to the anti-porn bot:

Also, can we all just take the time to fully appreciate that Nick and his chat are yet again destroying the functionality and usability of their own chat in a way that only affects their ability to enjoy it and doesn't protect them from our prying eyes in any way?
Must have missed it. I am chastened.
Ah yes the so called "transparency". Statement was made on 1-10, already backtracking. Very sad.
View attachment 4407412

And the accusation of taking something out of context by presenting it in its entirety as a full and complete archive of days of this shit all in one place.

Another generic lolcow argument. This fucker needs to come up with some new material that hasn't been done by every cow in history. It's embarrassing.
Oh, do not worry... When I get reply threading, then image processing up, we will have plenty MORE context.

As I said in my first post with the archive drop, this is not personal or malicious. I present the information without editing or censoring it. Yes, I editorialise subsequently, but the full record is always available. Hell, I have even explained how Panoptes and the code works! I am more transparent than Nose is at this point!

Gosney is a gem. he seems like a decent fatherly type that is still (wisely) wary of the degenerate internet denizens.

Nick does a class for his homeschool group.
They're probably complaining about the spreadsheets that some of the users are trying to set up here to more accurately assess some of the Local's users activity.

He's said before that he is diagnosed with ADHD and narcolepsy.
I wouldn't trust anything Rekieta says about himself. He's a fantasist. Until he shows a medical diagnosis from a real doctor, it's just more fantasy. He's a slob and dweeb, and he "passes out" because he is an alcoholic who stays up all night.

I doubt gosney is a farmer he's just not an internet dweller in my opinion.
I get the feeling that gosney likes to big up the freebie crowd it seems to be a running theme of his that started when nick was pushing for locals paypigs.
I like gosney he reminds me of a tech illiterate relative.

I assume that part of hiring Randazzle was marketing, and the other part is that if you are doing something even marginally complicated or non-standard, having a specialist lawyer is very helpful, and Nick was in denial of that fact because he was never a specialist lawyer. On first amendment law, there are only a few available specialists, and they would likely only take a client like Rekieta on a referral (if they even returned his call).

I think the switch flipped in his head from "I'm a lawyer who joked around on the internet" to "I'm a comedian with a law degree" when Nick started hanging out with people who are actually funny. Then he could get a good lawyer without feeling bad about how shitty his practice is.

Video is in this post:
I see Locals continues to implode.

Meanwhile, yesterday's trial stream was very ok. Had it going in the background. Nick had some of the best guests on (Branca, Gosney) for much of it, zero degeneracy was present, whatever alcohol was consumed had no negative effect on the show, and despite the trial itself being mind-numbingly boring, the legal commentary and criticism kept it going nicely. Sex jokes were present, but somehow the sleazy undertone that made watching most of Nick's recent streams decidedly unpleasant vanished entirely. It was basically some normal dudes doing "that's what she said" zingers.

An interesting conversation occurs at lunch break.
Steven Gosney talks about how great the chat is. But he's not talking about Locals. He's talking about YouTube and Rumble. When Nick says that Locals "is the creeeeam" of that, Gosney disagrees and says that he doesn't do Locals. Watch Nick's whole posture shift at that. Nick then attempts to minimize and asserts that Locals got wild for a while, but "it's calmed down a lot now." Gosney: "I gotta say, I've peeked in there occasionally. I'm just not paying money to be there, you know. It's like, too wild and woolly(?) for me, I'd get kicked out on my ear. But there is an entertainment value."

You're goddamn right, Steve. There certainly is.

@Himedall All-seeing Waifu:

That's very much not okay. You don't directly interact with the lolcow. You most certainly do not post these teenage ransom demands like "huehuehue, if you say 'help me, Himedall Kenobi' (WHAT THE FUCK), I will deign to redact your embarrassing shit from my archive." Would you, by any chance, be also willing to accept an essay on "Why the use of third-party cheat chat software is detrimental to an online game community"?

You created a useful archival tool. Good. That is a genuine achievement. What it isn't is an entitlement to crown yourself the arbiter of what gets archived with said useful tool and what doesn't. That would remove the entire purpose of an archival tool.
By the way, the fact that your writing got more purple by the paragraph only reinforces the idea that this is basically hubris at this point.

I understand that having some sort of power over a huge community of people is a very intoxicating thing. I also trust you to recognize the fact that you've fallen into the same sort of power complex as many moderators do and to pull yourself out of it.
From a practical perspective: is that what you want to be doing with your day, every day? By inserting yourself as the arbiter of what gets redacted and what doesn't, you open yourself up to all sorts of retardation. "Well, this guy had his stuff redacted, why didn't you redact my stuff?" "The first guy didn't have to post some stupid classified, why do I have to do that?" etc. Words such as "fairness," "standards," "policy" start to crop up real soon after that, and fuck that shit.

From an ethical perspective: Every single one of these people knows it's a public chat. Whoever says they thought it was private or behind a paywall or whatever else is lying. Why can I say that? Because every single one of them saw the chat before they paid to participate in it. Since the chat is public, and its participants know it's public, there are zero ethical problems in archiving it. Therefore, there is zero ethical reason to police or redact any of it.

Decided to check on his Locals and it looks like the chat drop from today might be interesting based on what I happened to walk into. We have more tough guy behavior, which is mildly amusing. Nick also apparently left the stream for some period of time, I'm not watching so I can't say for sure how long, to do some "teaching". Who the hell would trust him to teach their kids I don't know.

What makes me curious about combing through the drop though is the infighting that is already going on without Cynthia there to gang up on. There seems to be a massive argument that people are taking way too seriously over the topic of goddamn anime and comic books. I didn't capture it all because Locals is tedious and Yandex does a much better job but this is what I have.

EDIT: Oh, there was also some argument about "spreadsheets" that people were getting into. I'm not sure of the context and it was too annoying to piece together since you can't use replies to jump to the referenced post but once we can do a keyword search on Himedall's file it could be interesting.
Man these people really go from 0-60 over nothing. Cynthia deserves a award for keeping them from tearing each other's throats out for as long as they did.

Watch they'll all dox each other now and yet we will somehow catch the blame again.

So I ve mostly been skiming the locals drama part of this thread.

Why did they turn on eachother surely it wasnt to prove their loyality to nick

I mean, in theory, he could, but this is like saying that, in theory, WingsOfRedemption could stay under 400 lbs. if someone held a gun to his head and forced him to follow a workout routine + diet under threat of death. If we just look at how the e-celeb's life cycle usually goes, I think this is not what typically happens. MundaneMatt comes to mind as someone who went back to a "regular" life post-Internet, but he never had the sort of clout that Rekieta has, with this big community of paypigs and wine moms and such. So he was never quite as far removed from "real" life to begin with, I feel like.

I love that years later Matt won.....ish.

Fuck I would pay money for matt to doordash to ralph.

Again I guess I havent truly paid attention to nicks changes. I m still viewing him not as a "streamer" or E celeb. But as a normal attorney who found it easier, to just lawexplain the interwebs.

Fuck I remember the joke that Nick WON IBS by vitrue of being a fucking adult, not melting down, and the his prize was the admiration of....IBS fans....so I guess thats losing.

Then come women his own age wanting to fuck him

I don't think he is either. I just think he's someone in Nick's sphere who hears about this stuff and is willing to ask "what the hell are you doing?" to at least some of it.
