Mandy Summers and crowd are the problem CG currently doesn't need. The Tidal guy is ex-Image and seems to be on friendly terms with mainstream press, writers (actual writers not comicbook writers) and other straight world people.

As TiC says, this definitely poses potential problems for the future. Actual problems and not just superchats and controversy to fuel youtube content. But maybe not those specific problems.

It's the same exact book, same exact art as they are putting out as "new". looking at Clint’s Blue Bombshell campaign, I’d say that I don’t think he’s ever had an original idea.

I kinda see how Gemshock might have ripped off the Diamond character from Jailbait, but I also know just enough about IP law to know it tends to get really autistic whenever its moved into a courtroom. Remember when a federal jury ruled that Katy Perry's Dark Horse was a rip off of Joyful Noise, but then an appeals court stepped in and completely reversed said verdict based on prior case law? IP law can get pretty complex. It's never as simple as it first seems.

Ultimately, the similarity of the characters is not what makes Mandy gross here. I could really GAS if Mandy's crappy super hero is a rip off of another crappy superhero. There's already little originality in comics.

Power Leveling here, but I have lived in the south all my life and never heard an accent like the one she uses when she does the "Hey Lovebug" and the "Hey Yall". She has a southern accent, but the one she uses most of the time is exaggerated and is close to what most actors think a southern accent sounds like, not the real thing. When she gets dumbfounded or frustrated, the fake one goes away and her real normal accent comes out.
