Minecraft

Cut them out how? By implementing blaze3D?

Regardless, I think that time would be better spent improving the game's performance instead of working on their own shaders.
The point is that the main bottleneck for Minecraft IS the shitty renderer.

they want to pull a 343 but that's not going to bode well, it will be good for minecraft drama video makers though, in the wiki page about renderdragon it's said that a lead janny commented on the java team being able to port this trash to the best edition but one of the codetrannies dismissed it, still, one dude pointed out the java inheritance style from it.

making that whole EEE thing that microsoft C-level executives always push on their studios true, papa jersh is fucking right, all C-level executives should be nailed to a fucking cross, no matter the company.

either they've been bumped down or kiked hard into oblivion, i cannot find any comparison videos, only the ones mentioning "renderdragon is here omgggg or renderdragon broke shit!!"
The "RenderDragon" code the twitter guy posted is actually due to the fact that most legacy entities (Like the Ender Dragon) have their models dynamically generated by code.

How the fuck is chainmail armor surviving this long? It's something Notch added during the very early development as a test, and I remember, I fucking remember, back in Beta a lot of things that weren't supposed to be obtainable in inventory was obtainable that was, stuff like water blocks, lava blocks, and most importantly, fire, which was used to craft chainmail armor. What's weirder is that nu-Mojang still gives a fuck about it?
It's very popular in custom maps and it's not really harming anything.

It's not that it should be removed because it's "harming", it's rather that it's one of those ancient assets added by Notch that didn't end up getting removed. For example, the Giant mob was in the code for years, but when Microsoft took initiative it got completely wiped out of the game.

Yeah, although it's only obtainable as either a treasure item or through villager trades. Pretty much rendering it into being loot armor.

The Giant is still in the game (Java edition anyway) and they can still be summoned via the command. It has no AI though, so you can only make it do something through command block tinkering.

they know they can't remove it because of youtubers that would bitch and moan about it, chainmail is also used in loot tables to muddy the iron armor roll chances.

i don't think they ever removed anything unless you are counting bedrock, steve, beastboy and rana were removed by notch but gears which could allow for vertical redstone was meh to see removed.

i was going to say that, one of serilum's mods adds regular zombie AI to it which i'm using for my 1.18.2 playthrough.

I'm kinda disappointed Rediscovered wasn't ported to 1.12.2, when its available for versions before and after it. Also, does anyone know about a radio mod for 1.12.2.

Every time mojang introduced a new thing ive always hated it, then stopped playing for a few years before coming back and being mostly fine with said thing.
I did the same with sprint and hunger way back when, and i'll do the same thing with GIANT FUCKING BEES.
It's probably just the human aversion to change, either that or i'm a faggot, what about you lot, you like the stuff they've been adding, or would you prefer they stopped?
And now 3 years later I return to the thread to say i hate the NEW THING. ARMOR TRIMMING

i didn't like the enchantment glow that much, also on the same trim glitch the colors varied a little but at least you can use gold on gold and iron on iron, copper on leather seems okayish but i'd prefer being able to slam leather in there as trim because color palette, trimmed leather can be painted no problems.

I am surprised they didnt go for a fabric or leather trim as a sort of low tier customisation. maybe for leather you could do like in valheim, have to make a cow trophy to summon a boss that drops it, theres so much they could do if they wanted to. pretty much all of them are kind of ugly though.

I still hate Mojang bees because they are utterly fucking useless. Even Nandonalt's ancient fucking Beekeeping mod was way more interesting than what nu-Mojang shat out. I wonder how many people here even remember this one, let alone played it.
Not to mention the autism you can do with the bees in Forestry. Crossbreeding various species, getting increasingly rarer and rarer materials you can use to make cool stuff, the ability to automate it, the fact that the bees are also used for cross breeding trees, and so on and so forth.

Considering honey bottles are one of best food items for health recovery, I disagree. They also have a niche use in farms that I tend to build my farms around.

My only complaint is that honeycomb blocks should've gotten more decorative variants. Imagine what could be accomplished with it.

Alright, fellas. I need some ideas:
Right now, im in the process of digging out an 18x18 chunk of land down to -58, and im wondering about what i should do with it? For reference the dig started at Y level 73 and is currently at Y level 29.

Whenever i've played minecraft since they came out i just ignore them tbh. More recently since they forced the account migration stuff I've played minetest/Mineclone more in the past year.

I suppose it depends on what you need, like thats enough to have basically a whole base setup all the way. any farms or anything you need?

It was so good it killed an entire Yogscast series with them getting bogged down with boring bee genetics guff.
Maybe that's why Mojang made them so fucking useless (except for the honey blocks, those are pretty cool)

Yeah Yogscast series got killed for shittier reasons, like the Voltz one where after they've raided and destroyed Ridge's base, Ridge, who was hosting the Voltz server, wiped everything out of spite. At least we got this gem out of that one.

To be fair to the bees, they were added in as extra content with the Buzzy Bees update while they were working on the more technical parts of the game.

What more would you guys want them to do anyway? Some more plant interaction could be cool, but they can't just copy the forestry mod's homework as that system is way too complex for vanilla.

Wait is that really what happened?
I remember it ending with a scripted self-destruct sequence so it was clearly pre-planned. (with the command block trap message and all. The one that accidentally got triggered a few videos before it was supposed to if you keep an eye on the chat.)

I bought this game with my own money but I'll probably never play it again because I'm too lazy to create a Microsoft account.

Well I've heard that that's what happened, that Ridge got pissy and wiped the server, which is why the series ended. And it's not like it's an unlikely theory, given how much of a lolcow Ridge is.

thats the thing. i dont know what i need, so i was thinking i would let you guys decide what i add to the bottomless pit
