Apparently Curseforge and Modrinth now have creator payouts and will pay mod creators money based on ad revenue they get.
Not just the mod creators, anyone that makes a modpack available on their platform can get a cut of the ad revenue despite the fact that most of them are kids that will throw mods into a folder without caring about conflicts. This has the knock-on effect everyone expects, where the big creators only get richer while small creators don't get as much exposure because modpack people are siphoning money away for throwing everything popular into a single convenient file. Want a food mod other than Pam's Harvestcraft? TOO FUCKING BAD!
ETA: If you ever wonder where the ego of Vazkii and such comes from, it's exactly this. As much as they like to virtue signal about anything and everything, it's all about the money to them and nothing else.

oh shit nigga, in my opinion it's not that good, tough as nails tries way too hard to be survival with temperature shit but doesn't account for DRINKING WATER TO COOL DOWN nor STANDING IN FUCKING SHADOWS, if you are on savanna you better get a water source to chill in or enjoy heatstroke, mutant beasts is straight shit after 1.7.10 because it loves spawning more mutant skeletons than anything else and the epic siege mod you added is not that good since mobs love pulling tnt's out of their asses and skeletons with fire arrows because """""""""""""difficulty""""""""""""", i won't even recommend infernal mobs either because past 1.7.10 the amount of mobs that will spawn with gravity and wither is simply unaccountable for, you also didn't pick a mod that changes the shitty combat and please delete swing through grass because mojang are full of retards, even past 1.18 if you add a mod that allows you to swing through grass it'll break block selection. i'm glad that you managed to pick mixinbooter/boostrap and get it working without crashing since all the mods i tried which required that shit crashed it on startup.

just to add something, the hardcore darkness mod literally broke the lights out of a chunk when the mobs started exploding around me, it was too fucking funny but i couldn't screenshot it in time.

Acknowledged. So just vanilla mobs ? In the case of Epic Siege, the amount of TNT can be changed in the config quite easily. As for the combat, I wanted to add spartan weaponry. So I won't change it yet. I may in the future.

spartan weaponry is not a problem at all, i think there's a mod that changes the way the combat beehaves as to not be like 1.12.2 shittiness while rewarding actionish style so you don't spam attack, i'm trying to find it in curseforge and will see if it's compatible with your modlist, i'll try adding a mmorpg stats mod to your pack to see how it goes once i find the combat one.
i must point out how the extra ambient sounds sound odd, when i was in a cave whenever i stopped the blowjob noises due to the stone in caves were weird.

I prefer a mod that implements mob mounts rather than vehicles. Although, I don't have any suggestions at the moment.
mc hardly has any mobs that can fly, crayfish's helis are good even though the controls are ass.
also 1.12.2 doesn't have support for the combat overhaul or the DS styled mod, the one i could find had massive control issues when you put on third person, i'll try adding ancient warfare 2 to see what'll break but it has spartan weaponry support.

I think I will stay with Crayfish's mod for vehicles. Flans vehicles are fun, but are also pretty bugged and broken in 1.12.2. Flans will now be used as a replacement for Mrcrayfish's gun mod only.

nigga look for a way to handle the light, that darkness mod is fucking annoying to a point because you need to keep putting torches around everywhere, it tanks fps after a while due to light emission + entity count.
 
Thankfully it's just a splash text message, so you can easily ignore it or remove it in the text file if it bothers you that much.
It's very trivial to add your own splash texts that will say things like "fuck niggers" or "kill trannies", and Mojang is yet to do something about such hateful acts of personal game modding.

Also there are no versions after 1.12.2.
 
Here's an un-pozzed splashes.txt file that someone uploaded in this thread some while ago.

Any woke lines are gone (coof, blm, lgbt - etc), plus it restores the classic lines that mentions Notch!

You can merge it inside a resource pack like I did. The directory for this file is custom_resourcepack.zip\assets\minecraft\texts\splashes.txt
