Pretty rare moment of Uncivil being the ray of sunshine. There's an inverse relationship between his cheerfulness and everyone else's that you can use to measure the relative level of misery in the room.
While I agree that jury analysis is largely a bunch of palm reading bullshit, being a lawtist only gets you so far as well. It doesn't matter what the law says, a jury can and will do whatever they want. Look at the Kim Potter trial. There's no possible logical path that gets them to intent when even the prosecution conceded that there was no intent.
So you might as well try a bit of palm reading. And like Joe was saying, while you're not going to be able to read most people, there are some occasional signs that can indicate how a juror is feeling about the person they're listening to. Is it rock solid, 100%, We Can Determine The Outcome Of The Case With This? No. But you can't do through legal analysis either. As they've said in every trial, you can never predict the verdict. It's all guesswork. Legal analysis will certainly get you much further. But, if you've got a jury of 12 people all giving Ronnie O'Neal style death glares to one particular person, I mean come on, it's at least worth some consideration. It's a point of interest if nothing else, and in these week plus long trials of the same dry facts slowly being repeated ad nauseum, it can make for a nice breather. Especially for entertainment purposes, which is what his show is.
