The book is possibly getting delayed again. If it does get delayed again for the 500th time, i'm seriously losing all hope for this book ever being out.
I'm not sure what kind of publisher issues Sam is having, but if it's actually about the shit in his book, that would be really funny.

I'm really, really curious about what publisher he has - guess we'll find out first when the book is launched.
It's print-on-demand and they offer full service of typesetting, draft checking, worldwide distribution, etc. - so I can't think of many.
There is a self-publishing service of Barnes & Noble that also offers optional typesetting and editorial stuff.

It won't be this one as it obviously only publishes to B&N.
They offer all services and aren't one of those "order yourself" so that's more likely. They offer also all kinds of stuff. From peeking into many, I think one like that is most likely.
Looking for AIA publishing submissions? You’re in the right place. AIA Publishing is a hybrid publisher created for authors who want the stamp of approval that comes from publishing wit…

A hybrid-publishing service that gives you a large control of it and that accepts only more quality-ish books, isn't "order yourself and calculate" and offers a full self publishing service if wanted plus print-on-demand and distributes to all major retailers over the world.
One point they have though is:
- The book must not have socially irresponsible themes or gratuitious, graphic violence
If your book doesn’t meet AIA publishing submission requirements already, our editing team can help you achieve them.
So if Sam chose a publisher like this I'm really not surprised at all if they
do fight over his stuff in the book and that's why it takes so long. After all he talks with them often and they give feedback etc. so that's kind of likely he chose such one.
This one is not full self-publishing though so... onto the next one

They don't offer publishing services so it won't be that, but if I'm already listing self-publishing services I'll throw that in as well.
How to self publish? You enjoy the writing, you know your subject but you don't have the time or the inclination to learn the publishing business to ensure that you get the results that you want. We offer a personal self-publish service.

Also optional full service, give ISBN, etc. They also have print on demand and offer hardback/paperback/ebook. BUT it seems only for UK territory and only distributes ebooks worldwide.
Other than that I can't really find any noteworthy anymore, at least not on popular websites or searches, so maybe he scrolled deeper into the internet to find his.
A lot would be likely if not the fact that they for example only offer paperback, etc.
He says he's self publishing with a publisher so I don't
exactly know what to make out of it, maybe he publishes it simply with a publisher that lets him retain full rights to his work but also won't accept touchy stuff or somethin.
