You are probably technically correct on this (the best kind of correct!), I just didn't recall that detail from any of his retellings of the channel origin that I've listened to, and, although I interacted with The Dick Show Facebook group occasionally at the time, my personal awareness of him didn't happen until after his original lolsuit video came out.

I do recall him explicitly saying that the only reason he posted that original video to Youtube was because Facebook, where the core of the Dick Show fans were, couldn't support long enough videos. Totally makes sense he would have repurposed his original YT channel to do so.
