No, it didn't. You do realize that's more 10 plus tank battalions. Something that would mean that on average a infantry support for said battalion would be 15 men or less. And even more less, if you take into account artillery, recon, motorized rifle units separate of the tank battalion etc, etc. There is no army that would have such TO&E. or OOB setup.

The US has consistently supported Ukraine since after the fall of the Soviet Union. With Russia’s resources being in competition with US resources (mainly gas), it’s natural that on paper, Russia and the US would be opposed to each other. Additionally, Russia has their own ideology they want to dominate, which is different from US ideology. Ukraine acts as a nice buffer to Russia’s influence spreading, at least that’s what neocons/neolibs believe. Even if public opinion changes on supporting Ukraine, the official US stance is still going to be in favor of Ukraine because of the politicians. I personally don’t particularly care for either side in this war, but it is what it is.

From what we can tell, Bakhmut is basically lost and the AFU is pulling out as much as they can and leaving a skeleton crew to hold the Russians back until they do.

Zelensky is looking for planes and may get some tanks possibly by the end of summer (or something lol who knows).

I would be shocked if there wasn't some sort of big push planned for the 20's of this month, very symbolic date, both Defender of the Fatherland day, and the 1 year anniversary of this whole mess.

It’s a faction, but even within that group, Trump supports Ukraine. His support differs from the Biden administration, as he would rather the war end with Russia getting the land they captured and leaving the rest alone. Biden just wants the war to prolong.

The more eastern parts of Ukraine are historically pro-Russia. Western Ukraine is more pro-Ukraine. I see it as a good compromise. Offering nothing and a winner take all stance is how you get a war to last longer, and that’s what Zelensky is pushing. Wars typically have to end in some compromise.

Trump is what the pro-Russia side wanted, and still want the most. He's the only candidate that has alluded to stopping aid and funding to Ukraine.

Trump did send funding to Ukraine in 2019. He isn’t against aid, but he finds the increase to sending tanks a bad sign of escalation. You don’t want to escalate too fast, otherwise it becomes a situation you can’t control. Ukraine aid overall is actually cheap compared to spending on the welfare state in the US, so it’s really a crapshoot with the Biden administration. On one hand, sending foreign aid has the risk of making the war larger, but on the other hand, the money spent domestically is far from ideal. Either way, money is being spent less than optimally.
