Smaller Communities that are awful but don't deserve a thread

I am genuinely shocked that nobody here has mentioned the trifecta of autism that is a few splinters of the Pokémon community. Namely:

Hardcore Nuzlockers- from what I can tell most of the people who are serious about this are mostly kids who watch Pokémon Challenges and genuinely believe that he's "the best Nuzlocker in the world", but these fuckers are even more autistic than Smogon or shiny hunters could ever hope to be (especially the adults that still do this on Reddit). They miss the entire point of both the core series ("Pokémon are friends not tools, use your favorites") and doing a Nuzlocke (getting attached to Pokémon you usually don't use) in favor of shitty tier lists (regarding the usability of any given Pokémon in a game), trying to "play around" crits and complaining when it's not possible, along with predicting how AI works instead of actually playing the damn game.
This can also extend to the people who make insane variants of Nuzlockes that have like 20 rules minimum and have insane names like "2v2 Randomized Cagelocke" or "Generational Eliminilocke" as well as, of course, the Youtubers who shit this stuff out on a twice-daily basis to appease a fanbase entirely comprised of 13 year-old children who would be telling people to "get good, scrub" on COD if they existed ten or fifteen years ago instead of now.

PMD fans- on a slightly unrelated note, there's the PMD fanbase. Filled to the brim with genderspecial teenagers who won't stop screeching for a new game or making new sparkledog OCs out of exclusively Riolu and/or Eevee. Honestly, though, that's nothing special. The real autism lies in the IMMENSE amount of fetish shit regarding this series. It probably isn't a surprise- having being isekai'd into a new world and transformed into a Pokémon as a base premise was always going to attract mega-autists- but it really is fucking everywhere. I guarantee you that if you look into any PMD fan (ESPECIALLY more well-known ones) enough they will have a long history of fetish art to their name. Vore, transformation, feet- I can go on, but I won't since i'm assuming most of you know about PK. Just assume that the vast majority of the fanbase is like her with less actual dog fucking and more dreaming about it. I'm also not linking any of the porn for obvious reasons.

Now, why did I mention two unrelated parts of the Pokémon community instead of three like I implied I would? Well, there's one common trait that brings these two horrible corners of the community together.
They are both prolific webcomic-makers.
If that sentence doesn't strike fear into you, I don't know what will.
Both Nuzlockers and PMD fans have a long, LONG history of creating webcomic after webcomic after webcomic. The quality of these webcomics can sometimes be questionable- that, or their authors have questionable (NSFW) interests, but one thing's for certain.
Almost none of these people know how to draw, and even fewer know how to write.
This is because they are mostly kids.

Now take a moment to read through that with the context applied.
They're mostly kids.
In a community full of people like this.
Lol. Lmao, even.
I don't know if I need to elaborate. I kind of don't want to, it's really gross to think about. The main reason I'm even bringing this up is because it directly affected me when I was younger, and that's before the true extent of these people's depravity was well-known. Just know that Haychel, PurpleKecleon, and the deviants I linked above are really not a loud minority- they make up a MAJORITY of this fandom from what I can see and it's really fucked up imo.

On a lighter note, most of these comics are insanely pozzed. Like, insanely pozzed. As in "85% of my cast is male and that's boring" pozzed.
It'd be funny if it wasn't kind of sad and gross.

Anyways, I don't think anyone in these communities is explicitly lolcow worthy (save for PK) because all three of them are enormous circlejerks. Serious echo chambers, both in regards to politics and being okay with blatant fetish shit in comics aimed at kids (look at the comments). The Nuzlocke Forums even had a Black Lives Matter banner on the front page of their site for well over a year after the initial summer 2020 protests, lol.

I'm sure you'll be able to find some lolcows if you look hard enough, though. Or even just prod one or two people a bit, in the right way.
also, a quick honorary mention: DeviantArt has plenty more comics and PMD art if you want to go even further down this rabbit hole. The groups feature especially is full of PMD-E successors and/or wannabees, alongside Nuzlocke comic groups that centralize a lot of the community. Just search up "Nuzlocke" or "PMD" there and you'll have a whale of a time. I've also found the vast majority of these comics on Comicfury, an equally-pozzed webcomic congregator that ended up being swarmed with these people after Smackjeeves went under. If you want to actually be able to read a lot of these comics (not all of them though), go there.

The PMD fans I knew were all pretty chill people, though admittedly, I never did go poking around the PMD community to begin with (this was a little over ten years ago) nor afterwards. Knew that it was common for there to be web comics or fanfic communities surrounding various stories and the like, but again, never looked into it. I'm still not surprised it's a den of weirdos, probably became that way sometime during the 2010s.

I will never not be baffled and disturbed by the fact that there are so many South Park fans that only watch the show for shipping 4th Grade kids. The social and political satire goes over their heads, and they don't seem to notice all of the crude, crude humor.
A show with episodes about a talking piece of poo and Cartman getting an anal probe from aliens is somehow flooded with people only wanting cutesy romance between two school children, usually boys.

It really doesn't help that Matt and Trey fed into their obsessions with the "Tweek x Craig" episode, actually encouraging yaoi artists to submit art of Tweek and Craig for both the show and The Fractured but Whole video game. The ships definitely existed before this episode, but this was the first time they were catered to.

On a less disturbing note, there's also the people that don't ever want the show to end, despite it running on fumes for a while now, but that's neither here nor there.

The Drankengard/Nier fandom.

It’s full of autistic individuals screeching at any newcomer that got introduced to it through Automata because they have trouble understanding the extremely complicated lore and history behind those barely marketed games.
If you hang around the subreddit, discord and social media you’ll see the same names popping up, criticizing people for not going out of their way to watch a japan only stage play or reading a “canon” novel to get something that wasn’t explained in the games, some of these individuals dedicate their entire lives to Taro (the creator) and could probably have a place in one thread here due to their unhealthy obsession. What’s ironic is the creator says his games are less about the lore he adds for fun and more about the separate stories they tell.

Oh and of course they hate all the 2b porn. Even when she is pretty much designed for it.

I fucking hate the Nier fandom because they caused Mister Caption, the man who made the best fucking video on Fallout 4 ever made, got harassed off the internet by those faggots.

If you've got three hours to blow and you want to watch a prophetic vision from early 2016 about the current state of Bethesda in 202X, Mister Caption has you covered. He reviewed Nier Automata as an outsider to the franchise with no prior context on any of the fucking lore. Next thing you know? Tons of angry degenerate weeaboo faggots start flooding him with bullshit "criticism." People still think of him as being unable to take criticism so many years after the fact.

I do apologise for being mad on the internet here, but Mister Caption had so many fantastic reviews and the few archive channels that took what they could (MrZekeBlowstein) got struck down. God damn I fucking hate weebs.

I hate Randy fans

@Anonitolia
pro nuzlockers are trash but yeah teh poke community has a widespread variety of lunatics, from troons to furries to smartass autists with gamer glasses talking like edgy rivals from the games. shippers and roleplayers are cancer and kinda common in the PMD fanbase afaik.
We have this thread about pkmn lolcows in general and this one about the self-proclaimed best nuzlocker in the world, i recommend checking these out.

must be the aesthetic of kids shows that attracts autists if it isn't for nostalgia.

foolish of you to assume that I am not already watching these threads like a hawk :smug:
but yeah, the roleplayers are everywhere (I guess it just comes with the fetish shit). Even shippers are less common, which is a gd feat

yeah oddly enough anybody who actually likes the series irl is usually pretty chill. It's just the moment you look online in any significant capacity that every perception of yours goes to shit. Regarding its art especially (even if not all of it makes your eyes bleed).

The Old Roblox Community.

In the attempt to replay my favorite childhood game as it originally was; I'm met with people who actively want to taint that childhood with autism and pedophila.

Just can't have nice things, can we?
Are you even surprised with a lot of the stuff that’s been going on in that game
