One of the major reasons I predict this "controversy" will fail so strongly is because there is no allegations of wrongdoing by actual patients, only a case manager (who did not do diagnostics herself as she was not a doctor).

There's no evidence that Jamie Reed's complaint is made up, but for Tony it must be made up. He's taken an ideological position that is undermined by such complaints, but he can't honestly consider them because he is committed to that position, as it legitimises his living out his AGP fetish and soothes any niggling thoughts that cutting his dick off wasn't a great idea.

Hannah Barnes's book Time to Think comes out a week today, and I expect it to contain many counterparts to what Jamie Reed wrote in her sworn affidavit. A lot of the clinicians who were previously at GIDS have only publicly criticised its practices relatively recently; it's pretty hard to make such criticisms when they would jeopardise your job, and when society tells you that voicing them is hateful against the most vulnerable group.
