Patrick, who isn't very smart, at first tried to claim that's not how criminal trials work and that HE, a witness, gets to decide what evidence gets entered and can avoid being called to testify.

why wouldn't he want the video evidence of vandalism shown at the stalking trial? hmmm...

within hours of being humilliated by exposing that he has no clue how the criminal justice system works, he changed his autistic response to "your lawyer won't allow this to go to trial, you'll plea" which I guess he's more familiar with since that's how he got his conviction for the episode in which, according to Rona, he threatened to murder his newborn baby daughter.

He really doesn't want to be questioned under oath.

It's kind of hard to tell from that gif but it looks like a glock and I think he's mentioned having one. A glock will definitely have a slide release. I can't name a pistol with an automatic hold-open that doesn't have a release and would necessitate partially racking the slide tbh, they had that figured out over a hundred years ago. Glocks in particular (and plenty of other pistols) will actually automatically release the slide if you put enough oomph into seating the magazine with the thumb release being a backup or a way to close it without removing the empty mag.

I never us my thumb on the release. Lefty and I find it faster to use my left pointer to release. Waaay faster than racking.
