Yes, you can get concealed carry permits. It requires at least two hours worth of safety classes, and there is no “stand your ground” law. The weapon is supposed to be the last resort.

Just a little bit of Pat lore that not everyone might be aware of - The thread that's in that video was from r/autism. It went on for literally months where Patrick would respond to everything and I do mean everything. "You have AIDS, Patrick" "No stalker, I do not have AIDS, I am not HIV positive". "I fart in your wife's vagina and she likes it" "No, stalker. You do not fart in my wife's vagina. This is not something that has occurred" etc etc.
Eventually the mods took mercy on all involved and locked it but it's a monument to how truly insane Patrick is.

It was never locked. It got automatically "archived" after 6 months as with all reddit threads. At some point a few years later, the comments inexplicably opened up again. The comment section is open as we speak:
