People who closely follow the algorithm are psyching themselves out, I think. They look at all the numbers, what's trending, spreadsheets of upcoming topics. In short, they're followers. Because they want to get their piece of the pie, they fall in line with trends and become really difficult to notice. I noticed this would happen with blog and gaming channels I'd follow as they drove themselves crazy trying to optimize their channel for visibility. It's like minmaxing an RPG build, but its your Youtube Channel. Only the numbers never move how you want them to.

In Jim's case, I wouldn't be surprised if YouTube is actually boosting his visibility as a 'trans' creator talking about woke shit, but the reality is his content sucks so even the people who care about topics Jim covers would rather hear about it elsewhere.

Its always the old guard of youtube complaining about it, reality is they are old, their content is passè, this is not the same youtube as 15 years ago and there are many newcomers with more charisma and better skillset than these 40 yr old youtubers who hit the jackpot for being early and never self actualized. A lot of early youtubers quit already, the few straggling on tend to be like this, not wanting to let go and coping hard with becoming irrelevant

I was in college studying IT around the mid 00s when broadband internet was becoming mainstream (256kbs was considered super fast). I had to learn about "Search Engine Optimization" (SEO) and I quickly figured out it was superstition. Everyone had a different idea of tricks that could get you to the top of searches. Most didn't work, and the ones that did would be patched out sooner or later.

This is what most of the algorithm people sound like to me. Yes there is an algorithm. Yes it can be gamed. Yes some people are blacklisted. But ultimately it can only do so much, and the exact nature of the algorithm is so fleeting that once someone figures it out it's changed to stop people gaming it.

Jim used to be promoted. So many testimonies after the 900k special of people telling YouTube to stop recommending Jim, but his videos appearing in their recommended lists a few days later. But Jim's videos are so shit that even YouTubes thumb on the scales isn't enough to get new subscribers to replace those that are leaving.

Watched the whole MATI stream which also meant that this is the first time in a very long time that I’ve subjected myself to Jim’s videos in their entirety. I don’t want to spend a lot of time making fun of Jim (there’s plenty of that going on already), but I wanted to critique the editing. If this trans stuff is a serious subject to Jim, why in the holy mother of fuck are these videos edited in ways to pander to the ADHD 14 year old crowd? Even if I were someone who shared Jim’s ideals, I couldn’t willingly sit through one of those videos without feeling a little overwhelmed by the visuals and trying to piece them together with the dialogue. Better than looking at moobs, but we are scraping the bottom of the barrel.

There’s a guy who makes Warhammer 40,000 content named Bricky who does this same shit. The nonsensical jump cuts. The zooming in and out quickly. Plastering nonsensical images and animations all over the place for comedic relief. When it works, it works but most of the time I find it very egregious. Here, however, it works. This dude is very energetic and into what he’s talking about. The format of his programs matches his personality and style of presentation. Jim, on the other hand, lifeless and seems to be using this visual cues for… something. Maybe to stare at his tits a bit longer? The whole thing is in shambles.

Also, weird to see so many “Digital Homicide won” comments. They didn’t win anything. They were completely removed of their platform and resorted to shady methods of revenue generation by “gifting” and reselling keys of shitty Steam games under the guise of LootToot Games. Affiliate link spam and all of that other bullshit too. It also appears within the past couple of years, these absolute morons decided to be even edgier and would put out some pieces as “Digital Homicide Underground” explaining how they scammed and owned Steam to make a quick buck. Unfortunately, I cannot find the details of these articles (didn’t honestly give it more than a few minutes), but these brothers have shown nothing but incompetence in everything they’ve done. I’m sure the one brother who had some real experience with coding had some aspirations beyond the hand he was dealt, but he will have to settle with playing pretend in the same vein Jim pretends to be a woman, just less successfully.

I've explained this before but I'll explain it again: if you pull up the Jimquisition playlist and start from the first episodes, they're a pleasant listen while coding or playing video games. I played through Subnautica and No Man's Sky listening to them basically on loop.

However, at a certain point, he starts doing wrestling bits. In the beginning, this is easy to avoid because it's just the outro. Then it's at the start and the end. At a certain point, this starts becoming more effort than it's worth. The wrestling shit spreads like a cancer, and they are sprinkled into the actual heart of the video.

I basically received Pavlov Conditioning where I'd hear specific phrases that precede the wrestling content, and my brain would fire a panic response to alt+tab out and skip ahead of the wrestling shit because I knew it was coming up and I didn't want to hear a single second of it. Now, there's more bad episodes than good episodes and I don't bother trying to scan the playlist because there's better content to binge listen while working.

I really cannot stress this enough. It was this video that started the actual observable decline in engagement.

• Cyberpunk in December 2020, which was a topical game review (real content).
• Shittiest Games of 2020 new year special (his most successful video series historically).
• "I Can't Believe a Developer Tried to Kill my Channel" on Mar 2021 (dabbing on flaggers and the litigious is an old tradition of his and his most successful video ever is about the DigiHom lawsuit).

That's it. His videos now rarely break 200k. It all goes back to the wrestling shit. It sucks. Everyone knows it sucks. Except Jim. Even when he lists reasons in his Under 800k video why people unsubscribe, he acknowledges his videos are lazier and shittier now and gives that as a fair reason to unsubscribe. He talks about 'politics' but dismisses it as a legitimate cause. He does not even mention the wrestling - he still refuses to acknowledge it.

I am not really into Bricky (I say having watched every single thing), but that is just personal taste. However, Bricky cares a lot and you can tell he is really into the lore and he manages to make me enthusiastic about factions I didn't care for before through his own enthusiasm. That's the kind of passion about the topic that Jim lacks. The topic being video games. he clearly cares about wrestling and being an open degenerate. But I don't.
Like Null, I used to listen to Jim playlists when doing housework and I had the same panic moments when I got to the wrestling bits. But I skipped through them hoping for industry insights. They became less well researched and less game-related over time and no amount of complaining Jim does will hide that.

I've said this before (another account due to recentish events, quite obvious to figure out what it was, but I digress) , but Jim is a great example that money doesn't buy happiness. Specifically if you don't have anything meaningful to do with it or anything meaningful in your life in general. Jim is loaded. Even now, but especially before. Compared to the average Joe in the US and especially outside of US he is quite wealthy. But what does he do with this wealth? If anyone who has followed him more closely even tell me where does it all go? Is he like a typical good altruistic and good-hearted commie just sitting on it? He likes to see the number go up in his bank account? In which case damn near every 'rich capitalist' is more generous than him, at leas they tend to spend the money so some of it ends up in other people's hands too. I know for a fact he isn't donating it lmao, commies are way too narcissistic for that.

But he could use the money to travel the world, buy property in other nations (as in plural, again for travel), get a personal trained and finally get fit. Spend his time seeing interesting sights or partaking in pricey but interesting activities in general. I know what I'd do damn well if I had the opportunity and maybe one day I will. Besides trooning out and changing the country of residence, has he done anything significant with the money he receives every month? Certainly nothing good for his mental health that's for sure. He is still a rich, fat, unhealthy miserable tranny and is only becoming more unhappy by the day.

It doesn't just suck for people who don't care about wrestling, either. No actual wrestling fan likes it. His promos suck ass, he's as good in the ring as literally anybody you pick up off the street who isn't in a wheelchair, and he's fat and ugly and his wrestling outfit looks awful. The only people who "like" his wrestling are him and his fans who don't actually watch wrestling but slavishly support everything he does regardless of merit or quality. There's a reason he's only ever wrestled for tiny indies nobody's heard of.

He is very proud of the spinning heel kick as he shows it off multiple times in the highlight reel you showed off on stream yesterday, but it looks like absolute shit. To show what I mean, here is a very shitty cap of that move from the stream because I'm not fucking going through Jim's actual videos to find a higher quality screengrab:

He gets about as high as I could, a completely unathletic man who has never trained wrestling before. Also note that his opponent's knees are bent, as he squats down to make the kick look like it's hitting higher than it otherwise would - that kick is chest high at best, and I promise literally anyone who can stand on two legs can do a spinning heel kick that high with little to no practice.

As a comparison, here is a highlight video of actual pro wrestler John Kronus doing that same move over and over. Note how much higher up he goes and how much better his form is than Jim's. He doesn't get it right every time but when he does get it right (0:45 is a great example) you can see just how much better it is when someone who isn't a fat retard does it. Also (I swear this is my last edit) when Jim does his kicks he's moving forward as he does it, that momentum greatly helps in the execution of the move. And it still looks like shit.
