She sounds absolutely based and the only reason to seethe at her is if you're a manlet, a nigger, a K*rean, a chestlet, a fag, or literally malding. Kotaku naturally fits all of those.
When this whole drama was going on last year, I noticed an account named something like "Antifa Japan", with the Antifa flag logo, trying to spread the allegations around Japanese Twitter in Japanese. As soon as the story came out she was fired. The Antifa account was deleted.
TLDR - Koreans are bitter and retarded.
This is another thing I'd like to bring up thats happened recently. I'll have to give you a bit of backstory though. And I don't know that much because I don't know neither Korean or Japanese. You guys can decide if it's Drama or not.
Avex. The Japanese company that did much of the music for Dance Dance Revolution and Initial D. Decided several years ago to make a Japanese girl group. Now Avex decided to hire a Kpop Hip Hop Producer to organize training for the girls for 5 years. Avex decided they weren't going to be a J-pop girl group or a K-pop group. But a Global girl group. So they decided to train the girls in Western style Hip Hop and R&B in English. Probably the first attempt at going truly global out the gate from any music company in Asia.
I speculate, because Avex doesn't actually have any pull internationally with the other large music labels. Sony Music, Universal Music etc... pretty much their only option to get the largest International fanbase possible was through the South Korean Kpop industry. So they debuted the group last year through the Kpop music industry.
However. An all Japanese girl group debuting singing all English is like automatically -50 points in South Korea. Many people even today still view Japan with suspicion and distrust due to the Japanese occupation. Occasionally there are diplomatic flame ups due to comments made by celebrities about the opposing countries online. Both countries are quite nationalistic and xenophobic.
Things weren't helped further at the time when the Avex CEO was recorded.

All-Japanese Girl Group XG Faces Backlash After The Group's CEO Makes Anti-Korean Remarks
Newly debuted all-Japanese girl group XG is facing backlash after the group's CEO allegedly made anti-Korean statements in an interview.

So basically after this. The Japanese Girl group (XG) was another -50 points. Nothing was happening. Maybe a little buzz internationally online? But in Japan? and Domestically? Nothing.
This all changed a year later when they brought out their latest single.
It aligned with the current Kpop trend; late 90's Hip Hop and R&B. It aligned with the current styling. It aligned with the current video editing style. It aligned with the current choreo. So it's been exploding internationally online. It's been showing up on Tik Tok. People have been doing reaction videos to it.
But theres a lot of drama I know is going on under the surface between Japan and South Korea at the moment. I hear some Japanese thinking they are the best female J-pop group ever and can beat out any K-pop group. And I hear South Koreans saying they are no way better than their K-pop groups. There is a real rivalry going on behind the scenes with the Asian music fans. Here's a notable South Korean vlogger talking of it. And no he doesn't like the girl group.
This is really all the info I have. You guys can do further work if you are interested in the drama.
