Nick did use Westlaw, and iirc was signed up to one of their higher/highest subscriptions that allowed him to get a lot more information for every state and federal jurisdiction. Who knows if he still has it given that the only legal content for the show he's done in a while hasn't required him to do much, or any, research. It wouldn't surprise me if he still has a subcription of some kind for research should he want or need to do it, but it's probably not the wallet depleting one that he talked about in the past.
