I always put my cart away because it's extra steps for me and my fat ass can use every step.

That being said, and as someone who spent 2 years working as a carry out/cart wrangler for a grocery store, I can't help but think cart jannies (lol you do it for free) are super autistic and have absolutely nothing going on in their lives to get so aggressively upset over if carts are put into a cart corral or not.

Edit: Also one time me and my girlfriend at the time witnessed a runaway cart weave between two shit boxes, then curve around a third shitbox only to hit a god damn Lambo and get stuck under its bumper. If some random at Toys R Us hadn't left their cart behind I probably would have never found my faith in God.

I grew up in a little, 99.9% white town and returning the cart was just something you did when you went to the grocery store. I didn't know not returning the cart was a common thing until I moved to a more diverse area of the country.
