I think we will see a greater pushback against blockers and hormones. The underage surgeries aren't talked about much, but it's a fact that they've been performed multiple times. If people talk about it more, more laws will be put in place to stop the insane munchie parents that facilitate this, and the kids will at least have a chance to develop normally before making that choice. The U.S. is seeing a lot of anti-legislations concerning "care" of the gender-affirming variety. Nordic countries have already suspended medicalizing the underage and the UK is having debates with a sizeably terfy demographic.
Questioning "trans kids" narrative and outlawing medicalizing of minors indeed appears as a danger to the sanctity of transition. If we're able to talk about this shit being barbaric and unhealthy to kids, they'd have to deal with the fact that these drugs and surgeries are harming them too. People also wouldn't be blindly congratulating them on transitioning. Same goes for not subsidizing drugs and surgeries from public healthcare. They'd have to cope that this shit is elective procedures driven by emotional issues and not actually "affirming care".

So yeah, mentally ill people will still find ways to self-mutilate and take drugs, but the trans narrative is beyond just that. Pushing it onto kids and having taxpayers pay for it is not a bonus, but a prerequisite. Getting rid of those two things would indeed be like making transitioning illegal for them.

One day you have a husband and the father of your firstborn building a life with you, who you can count on, the next day he’s skinwalking a childhood playmate and won’t stay the fuck out of your clothes. The mistakes that the right makes is focusing too much on "mutilation". Get rid off puberty blockers and hormones and watch how the trans movement dies. For those new (or new-ish) to the whole skinwalking Erin the flower crown girl, I wrote a long post a while back about Tony’s origin story. It covers this, plus Tony’s family, and his exposure to questionable things on the Internet at a young age.

Not that it lessens the horror much, but I believe that Tony only started acting out his trans identity after they separated and were heading for divorce.

Still can't believe they gave him custody of that child. Courts always favored the mother no matter what but troon privilege literally takes everything from women.

We seem to be missing a transcript from the divorce hearing where the judge laid out his reasons, but it doesn’t appear that Tony’s trans-identification played a role.

I wrote up the divorce documents that @Marvin very kindly fetched for us last summer, but in short: Tony was the primary caregiver, Kate was the one to leave the family home (leaving Kiddo with Tony), Kate had an unstable work life (long hours then unemployed), Kate had a newborn with her new partner, and had moved several hours away to Virginia (away from Kiddo’s friends and school).

And, last but not least: Kate had previously agreed to something like the arrangement they have now, and then a few weeks later refused to return Kiddo to Tony at the end of a scheduled visit. (She had to be ordered by a court to return Kiddo.)

There is more in my earlier post that suggests some extra context to those things, but sadly those were the facts.

Personally I do feel that Tony’s obsessive behaviour (up all hours posting about some invented genocide) and his unconventional romantic life (multiple mentally ill partners) mean that Kiddo would be better off with his mum. But that doesn’t mean the court made an irrational decision back in 2021 on the facts it had before it.
