Kieran announced his departure on his twitch stream yesterday and revealed he was living from paycheck to paycheck, barely able to pay rent of his one bedroom apartment with what he made. He now has to sell his car so he can save up money to buy a computer of his own to continue to do any work. Meanwhile he was constantly dealing with shit from the higher ups at Screenwave. Sounds like a great company to work for.

He nuked his twatter, someone snatched his handle lol

Our only hope is if some autist at TCT recorded the stream, but those guys are just as incompetent as the people they hate so much so I don't have any hopes.

Null, I hope you've seen the AVGN Movie. It's horrible, but you need to see it to appreciate how James describes making it in the book. He makes a bizarre statement that it's a film about xenophobia, which literally no one but him ever picked up on. He also moved out to California to film it in Hollywood, but was somehow surprised at how expensive that was.

Wow Kieren is a much bigger retard faggot whiner than I expected. Hey man, you're up there with Frosk in fame for helping ruining something hardcore. Don't be so down.

How's he in such a dump and 'poor' after that long at probably making good money? (ETA I assume. Once again it appears James may have used the Doug Walker method of paying with 'exposure'). I'm assuming lots of drugs and booze. Getting some spoony kind money management vibes here.

It's easily one of the worst movies ever, and I'm not kidding. It makes the CA anniversary movies look like works of Hitchcock by comparison.

I don't know, it's certainly more boring but To Boldly Flee and AT4W movie are also pretty equal piles of shit.
At least I remembered Kickassia, Suburban Knights, To Boldy Flee and the AT4W movie, as bad as they were. I can't even remember the AVGN movie because it was tortuously boring, that's much worse than a film that's bad. It's really weird to consider that Bimmy would shit on a 1967 obscure horror movie The Vulture, yet somehow made something completely worse.

It's a matter of the type of shit you'd prefer. I'd rather watch the laughably horrible TGWTG movies than the boring as fuck AVGN movie
I agree, the Channel Awesome movies suck, but they were filmed on a camcorder in like a week. I don't think Doug ever considered them works of art. They were fun just to see every contributor together, though yeah, To Boldly Flee is bloated as shit. James actually tried to make a legitimate movie, and it's ten times worse. There's pretty much nothing redeeming about it. It's the uncanny valley of bad.

He did consider To Boldly Flee some kind of art. At first. It was the send off to the Nostalgic Critic and his big fight against the boogeyman of the week at the time, COPA

He's likely chilled the fuck out in regards to how he views things but keep in mind he also took the same stance on The Wall and that was....well, whatever the reverse of art is
