So how the fuck are people just starting out supposed to deal with this? Pay sky high rent, pay for a car loan with a 6 percent APR, and then have to pay for rising costs of everything else. It's even worse if your spouse isn't working due to school or something. Seems like the game is rigged against young people
I'll throw in a white pill here.

Shit sucks right now, especially for assets. House buying is abysmal, but depending on location, the bubble has already popped. Knowing your local market on ANYTHING, not just real estate, is more important than watching national trends.

Use your money frivolously (within reason). If you've got the basics taken care of, then spend on shit that makes you have more fun or be more comfortable. The market can swing wildly, and I would not advise anyone to make huge decisions right now.

I'm about to drop 11k on performance car parts, because I'd rather be the guy with a fast car and no money than the guy with just no money. If you've been wanting to get a new shower installed? Go for it, have your nice shower. Spoil your significant other with gifts. If your money turns into toilet paper, you can't control that, but you can be a little more comfortable if it does.

And if nothing happens? No big deal. You had a little fun. Life will go on.

At the risk of having to eat my words later, I don't think the SVB collapse is going to be too much of a big deal. The crypto market will probably take a hit and we'll probably see some shit-tier startups go under but this won't be a contagion on the order of Lehman Bros or Long Term Capital Management. The SVB failure is distracting from the jobs report which was much stronger than usual, which means the market has reason to be concerned about larger interest rate hikes. The Fed has decided to try controlling inflation by increasing unemployment, because Congress sure as hell isn't going to rein in the spending.

Funny how the always drop the Big Bad News on a Friday, eh?
This is because options expire on Friday and Gains/Losses are locked in.

Its a sign that weak hands are starting to fold, small banks aren't handling the liquidity crunch well, and neither are the large banks for that matter.

This may not spiral out into a contagion, there are a few names floating around on a shit list First Republic and Signature Bank as well have dropped about 60% today before being halted, which allowed them to regain some ground. Plus there is a sick men of banking in the form of Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank. Credit Suisse had some shady interaction last night with the SEC and postpoined their financial disclosures because of it.

The job report is artificial trash figures like the GDP, I'm not trusting any of it. Though I will say that people need to keep a very close eye on the markets for the near future because even a novice can put their finger to the wind and tell bad winds are blowing.

Just to show some downstream effects already manifesting. This is from camp.com, not really sure what they sell since their site is getting slammed by traffic at the moment.

At the top of their web page:

I view this as nothing more than a fire sale before becoming insolvent, this company will not be able to make payroll either this week or next week, likely this company is now doomed since they will have zero way to acquire new merchandise.

Why?

I've worked and still do for the largest banks in America. You have no idea of the constant Federal fuckery involved in running a bank. The Feds would fine him out of existence in a skinny minute (guilty or not).

Plus, Trump hated the CFPB as much as I do and basically castrated them. An agency that reports to no one, levies billions in fines over relatively minor infractions on a whim.

Now ain't the time for Trump to open a bank. The Feds would fucking eat him alive in short order.

Serious.
If you could change banking regulations, what would you change?
Why do you archive exactly? I'm not talking about lolcows, I'm talking about news.
Because we've caught the news editing their own stories to hide what they wrote before.

Max Blumenthal is so retarded that I consider it a miracle he can breathe unassisted. Saudi Arabia and Iran only ended relations in 2016 but have been rivals for far longer. If I had to make an educated guess, this is just an attempt by KSA to play the USA against the Chinese while securing better relations with a powerful enemy but not making any promises. Also accusing Israel of planning a regional war against Iran is laughable when Iranian expansionism armed soldiers in Yemen, Syria, took over Iraq with sponsored militias, and took over Lebanon with Hezbollah.

Areas in Green are places iran directly controls due to their expansionist activities. Areas in orange are either countries Iran is harassing or rebel groups. Which one seems to be the one looking for a fight here? Forgot to mention one thing, Iran is still funding the Houthis who are attacking the Saudis.

KSA says that peace with Israel is contingent on the US allowing them to have a nuclear program. Essentially they're telling the USA that they fucked up and allowed Iran to have nukes, Saudis want nukes as well now because of the US's mistake.

they do the same things

And? archiving stuff I feel is largely useless. The MSM already tells the public KF is just a bunch of liars, even though they archive shit. Theres no chance the DOJ or Local PD is suddenly going and using internet archives to start prosecuting people. And in the bizzaro world chance it does start to happen, all they have to do is nuke the archive site.

And if you are in the minority of people that investigate things themselves on the internet, you already know they are bunch of criminal liars. The only time I archive is when it's extremely important or lol-worthy and highly likely it will be deleted. Like the FBI report on the 7th floor group.
