My guess is most of the 5,000 subscribers would have been perfectly happy with a t-shirt. And Nick is not even announcing what it is beyond "unique art", so it seems like if it's not at the drawing board stage, it might not be particularly far away from it.

What I'm not understanding is how having "unique art" means that this takes so much longer than developing standard merch. As an example, Metokur had time limited merch fairly regularly, all with unique art, and never seemed to have problems with it. If Nick had trouble with distributors or manufacturers, you would think he would say this as both an explanation and a way to deflect blame.

Also, if Nick really wanted to grift, he should have made this a debut of his new merchandise. The first 5k get it for free (besides the initial subscription cost), and the rest have a chance to buy it at a higher price. That way, it's hyped up, diffuses costs, and rewards loyal members of the community.

I wouldn't be surprised if the girl was in her 20's at the time - "teen" porn actresses can reportedly still get work well into their late 20's as long as they keep up the anorexia that got them the job at 19.

If this lawsuit goes to trial, I hope Monty is able to demonstrate records showing the actress was one of those young looking adults. It would be a relief to have proof Monty isn't that much of a creep, and funny to have a record of Nick's reaction as part of his defense strategy blowing up.

I also hope that Nick has more evidence besides that video. The court or a jury might find it weird that Nick took a creepy video involving a girl as "you like sucking little boy dick."

It's disturbing, but more in the "Why would someone make this?" type of disturbing. Having watched it, I honestly cannot believe that anyone could conclude in good faith that it was a real video. Maybe they could if they only saw individual screencaps. The whole thing about it being potentially real and getting scrubbed strikes me as the type of urban legends that existed in an earlier era of the Internet, which appears to surround a lot of Monty's early Internet presence.

Also, Monty has submitted an affidavit that contains what he said was the name of the actress in the video and that she was about 35 years old at the time of filming. If you can prove that's false, I'm sure Nick and his attorney would love to see that information.
