Given Russ's displayed level of legal skill, it is my opinion (and this is solely my opinion) that he was failing everything and they just passed him to get rid of him. According to his fellow student who posted here, administration didn't hold him accountable for his bad behavior. They probably just told the instructors to give him a passing grade so he'd have enough credits to graduate and he wouldn't be their problem anymore.
