Edit: If it just black screens, check your graphics card as that might be dying. Could be the mother board though.

To put 69 into witness protection you'd just need a good belt sander first.

SVB was insolvent as of last year when this was being reported. What's interesting is that this run on money could have been solved by internal bank loans with their assets being used as leverage but they probably were cut off due to not solving this issue a long time ago. People on the inside knew it was a disaster.
SVB also did some incredibly dumb shit where they went hard on long term bonds at historically low interest rates a couple years back assuming that rates wouldn't rise which was insane in itself. Then they proceeded to replace their head of risk, and for whatever reason reduced or completely dumped their hedge that was supposed to protect them from the risk of rising interest rates. It was a cascade of retarded decisions.

Credit Suisse has always been a problem. I think at this point, Switzerland just wanted this shady bank to go away. They bailed it out to stabilize it enough that it could be taken over by UBS. The Saudi thing was explained by @Retink Retunk
This is very true, if there has been a scam in the last couple of decades, Credit Suisse has been hit by it, whether it's Greensill or Archegos they just kept piling up dumb shit.

Contagion is the spread, like an infectious disease. So for instance, if people are panicking and taking out their money from Bank 1, customers of other banks may panic too (understandably).

Null, what you are discussing is something I mentioned a year ago about provenance of images:

From 2022-02-27
Trust/provenance is going to get thrown around often in the coming push for more censorship and control over our digital lives. They are already putting the ball into motion with things like the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) which has launched the Content Authenticity Initiative. Described as "...a community of media and tech companies, NGOs, academics, and others working to promote adoption of an open industry standard for content authenticity and provenance," and includes big names like Adobe, AFP, Arm, BBC, Getty, Microsoft, The New York Times, Qualcomm, Synthesia, Truepic, Twitter, and countless others.

I didn't really want to sperg out about it in this thread, but it all ties in quite closely to their main goal of controlling information, tracking citizens, and punishing those who step out of line. Oopsie doopsie, your digital id is being denied at the store to buy a loaf of bread because you shared a photo of a police beating that didn't contain the digital signature of Reuters. As we all know, only official sources of information are to be trusted these days and anything without the proper digital provenance is a deepfake or altered photo which is dangerous and carries worse penalties than CSA material because a "threat to democracy" has to be stopped at all costs.

probably shouldn't shit up the thread with it, but the problem is nobody gives a fuck anytime anywhere

look how easy it is to verify shit on the Internet already, and nobody does

the only way it will work is if the powers that be make browser forbid to display ANY image that is not Signed, Sealed, Certified™ by said Principalities and Powers™
