Horrorcow Zoe Quinn / Chelsea Van Valkenburg / Locke Valentine / @UnburntWitch / @Primeape / CrashOverride / Hat Box / Old Uncle Anime - Con Artist, Abuser, Sexual Harasser, Drove Alec Holowka to Suicide.

Several UN entities formed a working group to author a paper on the online harassment of women, which they termed "online violence."

Neither Sarkeesian nor Quinn seem to have been involved in the working group or with authoring the paper. It looks like they were simply two of many people asked to speak at the launch of the paper (which has since been retracted), presumably because they were victims of "online violence."
And then Zoe threw that report under the bus a couple of days later by saying she was given the manuscript the day before and didn't agree with with it or something (possibly because she realised it'd come back to haunt her, given her own history of online abuse).

They didn't even touch on ISIS using the internet to lure teenage girls to be slaves and that had been and still was hot news at the time.

Dealing with actual violence and exploitation wasn't the goal.

They redefined online harassment, including disagreement, as "online violence." Redefining speech as violence should tell you that the paper wasn't intended to actually address the issue of violence against women. It was intended to make the case for banning certain types of speech. That's why the paper contained claims like: "A cyber-touch is recognized as equally as harmful as a physical touch."

And although Sarkeesian wasn't involved in the working group or with writing the paper, that scumsucker certainly rose to the occasion when she said that harassment wasn't just stuff we currently recognize as harmful and illegal, but should include "the day-to-day grind of 'you're a liar' and 'you suck.'"

It probably had a lot to do with how horribly the paper was written, as well. Footnotes included things like the directory path to a file on the author's hard drive and links to blank pages. As far as the actual sourcing went, one of the cited sources was an article in one of Lyndon LaRouche's publications that claimed Pokémon games are turning boys into "killing zombies."

The paper was (fortunately) a complete fiasco and embarrassment.

Rofl I hope not because it was probably at least a major loss of personal capital if not the terminal point of at least one person's career. Throwing away your life for a meh looking girl, she's not even young and meh like her porn days.

Lol not sure about zoe's deal but a normal photoshoot of any kind involved taking a bazillion pictures and picking just a fraction of the best ones.

That's a lot of forehead in that last pic.

So what do you think her play will be in terms of (re) generating GG buzz just pre-release to advertise the book on its new drop date?

I don't know publishing..what's the optimum timing? 6 weeks? 4? (Total example guesses, not my area, Zoe seems plugged into that though)

As far as strategy..what do you think we'll see?
Baiting reactions / drawing the foul

Shills dredhing past stories up

False flag ops

"I've come so far" Virginia Slim's style oprahisms

Echo chamber endorsement storm

Something else? A mix?

It can be challenging to move into a whole different industry. There's little crossover between her rolodex of "dicks I have sucked in games reviewing" and "dicks I need to suck in literary reviewing".

Getting introductions will be tough, but she might make it through a scattershot approach. A kind of mass mailing for fellatio.

I doubt she'd trying to crossover into mass market publishing. She's more of topical interest than as an author in her own right. (I'd suspect her current book has major input from form of ghost writer )
The intros already sort of happened anyway I she got a publishing deal.
So I'm more thinking in term of what she'll do to promote this book (as opposed to overall career timing)
