so how long before John (and the rest of the "there's no such thing as anti-Gamergate but we became friends circlejerking about how mad we are at it" crew) starts going through Milo withdrawal?
And sooner or later, they'll have no trolls to blame their problems on and they'll end up turning on each other because they're not even friends...they're 'allies'.

It was either taken away because he was doing his thing as a provocateur or they attempted to punish him for wrongthink, again. If I remember correctly, his accounted was suspended again around the time the tag was removed. Either way, kind of a petty reason to remove it.

It's kinda funny that this is one aspect of Brianna that isn't completely ridiculous; gamers may go above and beyond to get that one achievement or little shiny badge on your profile. The average person usually doesn't focus on it so vocally or heavily, though.

I'm sure he lost it for pretending to take a job at BuzzFeed and claiming such in his Twitter bio. More than a few fell for it. Using a verified account to impersonate someone was kinda dumb on Milo's part.

Wu and her need for attention is like a Skinner box. When she has an easy means of getting attention, she'll only occasionally cry out when she feels like she needs all eyes on her. But when her old methods stop being reliable and/or she doesn't have a convenient scapegoat that she can blame and rage over, she tends to flip the fuck out because she's desperate for attention but can't use her old familiar methods to get it. I'm gonna put my money on the table and bet that Wu is going chimp out and make an ass out of herself consistently until either Milo gets unbanned (which is very likely) or she finds something new to be outraged at. She craves attention, but she lacks any ability to gain it in a positive way so she has to keep fishing for pity to keep herself from fading into obscurity.

There's always something new to be outraged about. Or something old. Maybe she'll start to chimp out about anime or something. Maybe she'll even step out of her comfort zone and get outraged by something that isn't spoonfed to her from the comfort of her TV or computer monitor (yeah right).

@Jaimas any chance that you, with your infinite knowledge in the field of Wutology, can connect the dips in this graph with her twitter-tantrums?

I can!

The first dip happens into mid May, and May to June was a fucking terrible month for Brianna Wu. First, she missed two deadlines for Revolution 60, and more importantly, had the GethN7 incident happen, which caused many of her supporters, even on Ghazi, to turn against her. Then Wu got caught never filing a police report.

The next big dip that you can see happens in August through September. If May through June was bad, July through September was apocalyptic.

First, in July, Wu was banned from GamerGhazi.

Then Brianna Wu blamed Ferguson's unrest on Gamergate. The larger dip which then leads into a massive plunge by October is from the Trans Samus Incident and the fallout therefrom. This time also hallmarked her rushing to Sarah Nyberg's defense and the infamous Tanya Cohen Incident, which butt-fucked her credibility in the most hilarious possible way. Wu further got caught pulling the Melissa Click maneuver. Finally, at the end of September, Derek Smart dropped a Smart Bomb and revealed that he had tried to warn Brianna Wu about the path she was walking on. Then we have the Trasnye West Incident just to make it a hat trick.

Going into October we had Wu show some humility for once and voice sympathy for TotalBiscuit dying of cancer less than a day before her accusing him of being a "serial harasser" went public. This display alienated a lot of people in Wu's clique because she looked openly disingenuous.

The next and second-biggest dip happens in November. The most important thing that happened there? Wu completely missing the release date of her game, ignoring the missed release date, and accusing her backers of being trolls when they asked about it. It also featured Linkle sperging, Fallout sperging, her infamous shitting about over "Evelyn," and GethN7 beginning the ball rolling that would eventually be picked up by the Kickstarter revolt. Wu also had a series of interviews nobody fucking cared about, and Wu got caught DMCAing people critical of her, leading to Vee getting a takedown notice in early December. Topping it all off, Wu completely dropped her spaghetti about Kotaku being fucked over by its own clickbaity nature and threw a (now deleted) hissy-fit when called out on it.

In December, Wu tried to simultaneously defend capitalism and portray herself as an oppressed minority. Her true believers fucked off in droves, and, fed up with her shit, turned on her. Wu's own Wikipedia article is proven to be a fluffpiece by her old nemesis. She tries to save face in her previous DMCAs by claiming she didn't file them when people have her dead to rights.

The final big dip happens in January.

Short version:
We happened, and the exposure of Wu having none of the credentials she said she did makes her the subject of widespread mockery. Her former allies, now enraged with her, begin using Lolcow Wiki's talking points against her. The smaller dips after are mostly from her own chimp-outs and gradual sliding irrelevance.

WHERE'S THE NATALIE INTERVIEW JOHN?
Is there any evidence outside of some guy on reddit that John ever said this was going to happen?

The November is because of Patreon testing the new system that show how much a creator gets, not what is pledged, and December is when they rolled it out. The exact same dips are on everybody's graphs.

Interesting.

Still taking credit for January though.
