I would pay $200 to have the windows 10/11/12 experience go back to 7 because it was the best OS with hardly any errors. The UI was in line with the legacy style windows dating back to 95. The new shit we use because we have to, it is what it is.

If you want to run 7 on NVME drives it is possible. I dual boot 7 and 10 on my 5950

What platform are you running?

If you're doing a fresh install you need to prepare the ISO with some MS updates and platform drivers. Depending on your platform you might need to use modified win8 drivers too, but its relatively simple to do.

Not from what I saw. Besides, with so much sunsetting Windows 7 support, I just gave in and learned how to harden Windows 10, and that’s been fine.

On Windows 7 I can go to every corner of the PC and on Windows 10 I can see the weather and ask cortana while I visit the store using microsoft edge... God do I fucking hate the current year, big tech, DRM, streaming and tech bros. From obsession with the "newest thing!" to minimalism, know betterism (for your own good.. or at least the stupidest person's), and total control freaks! (Hell, even basic customizations and things like desktop context menus are starting to disappear.. and a moment of silence for "compatibility mode" once again... it's like Fire Fox all over again) And totally fuck any OS that tries to tell me when and what updates i have to get, forces me online, continually tries to reset and delete my stuff in the name of promoting it's own services unfortunate "update" fallout, and links my activation profile to an online bannable account. And don't even get me started on all the ToS bullshit. Which basically signs away control of your hardware. Giving MS the theoretical right to scan your drives for "illegal" content, ToS violations and media you "fail to have connected to a proper license". As well as has the ability to uninstall and delete "potentially" harmful or risky installed programs and software. (i.e. anything they don't like) OC none of this will ever be used in the short term but once they truly force online always, this shit is pandora's box! To say nothing of what happens if groups like the MPAA ever take notice and get it to court.

I'd just prefer they give up mandating Explorer.exe and allow custom desktop environment like Linux. They have been carrying explorer forward since the early 90s and it fucking shows. They just need to cut Explorer and restart from scratch like OSX did.

You have three choices:
-Use an outdated OS and risk getting completely assraped by malware
-Use a modern OS and get completely assraped by telemetry
-Switch to Linux and suffer through Linux

You complaining every day that current Windows is shit and older Windows was the best won't change the fact that old Windows is old and won't come back as much as you'd want to, and at some point you will be forced to do a switch because your old ass Win7 install will stop supporting all the other software you use despite all the ghetto patches.

Modern computers are pozzed, modern Windows is pozzed, modern Linux is pozzed, your complaining won't change anything, so you either install a pozzed OS, you use a decades old OS that doesn't support shit or you go full Ted Kaczynski and abandon tech altogether. I have more than 1 PC and I work with office PC's I have used 7 from release to current and 10 from release to current and 10 always had more issues. I am not trying to be an asshole its just my personal experience.

Agreed. We see this same type of "resistance" to doing anything in pretty much everything tech or media related. From push back against censorship, to push back against woke, to push back against big business retardism. Shills, real and unofficial, do a good job disrupting any efforts. So good in fact that many of their talking points are internalized even to the people fighting against such stuff. (i.e. the "futility" or silliness of ever trying to do anything to push back)
