Well they have to be the most unsympathetic lot of any nation in the modern era, on the receiving end of an ass fucking from the aggressor.
And the aggressor, Russia, in this case has a better reason as well for starting up this slavic slapfight than any reason given by the US government since WW2.

Funny as fuck, but also kinda sad. I feel for the young guys who just want to do what they've been told is right, but end up walking into this shit.
If I were building an MBT for modern combat, I'd treat these smaller drones as a serious threat. My thinking says countering them with something like an automatic shotgun which would be incorporated into the commander's optic and loaded with smaller shot and a tighter choke. Most of these drones don't have a lot of armor and aren't that different from civilian drones. Hilariously, Mike Rowe shot down a drone with a 12 gauge shot gun while buck naked, so we know it's not something outside the realm of reason to do. Later gen drones might be a bit trickier, but all the more reason for this to be a major consideration. Also, I would seriously consider not putting blow out panels on the top of turrets anymore as you see on a certain tank that particularly loves bringing democracy by means of 120mm persuasion and is "soon" to be arriving in Ukraine.

I'd conjecture that the Russians have developed an eye for finding flaws in nuclear reactor designs and the Americans are worried they will find something that they can use against the mainland American reactors. Or maybe they think their design is superior enough that Russia will try to copy it. Or maybe they'll find that America stole the design from someone else.
