Yes. After some time in the lolcow world, I started to see a pattern: outcasts on the offline world go to the online one, only to be bullied much more and much worse.
With Jessi, I think her situation hits a whole other level of sad: Attention whoring (which alone, can do a huge damage to a person), bad home environment, huge idiot dad (that ended up worsening things for her, with the 'backtracing' and 'cyber police' babbling), 4chan/internet attention and on top of that, we have fucking pedo Dahvie Vanity thrown in the mix.
I mean, okay, she is not the best person in the world, but I feel a little sad for her sometimes.

Yeah the Brianna Wu episode was really boring honestly, the Jessi Slaughter tale could fill up a whole hour with the amount of fuckery that encapsulated her life even prior to the epic trollstorm she received. She presents a worthwhile cautionary tale (the kind a sensationalist reality show would eat up), because if she'd been a little smarter (and possibly had she been older), she could've backed away from the Internet for a while and spared herself some shit, or at least it possibly might not have been as lengthy. Wu's episode was just her complaining and she didn't even really have evidence of most her claims...

I can't really laugh at her too much. I mean at first the "Ya dun goofed" "backtraced emails" thing was hilarious but once I started discovering how genuinely awful her life actually was (even without the harassment), it just wasn't funny...she was a child. Not to be a fuckin bleeding heart here but she was already doomed, and now having seen the pictures of her "grown up" (two abortions before she was legally allowed to DRIVE, wtf?) it just seems incredibly depressing. She's like 18 going on 50, some of those diagnoses are probably rooted in truth but she's still using them in that annoying tumblr-favored way of seeking attention. She actually was sorta pretty before, and now it's disturbing that someone can be that pale living in a place where its fucking literally always sunny.

She's like the embodiment of "what's wrong with kids these days" or some shit. Every negative aspect of what makes kids who grew up with the internet so different than kids from the pre-techno-everything era, all encased in a pale, flabby, eyeliner encrusted caterpillar person. *womp womp*
