These people constantly witch hunt outside their communities, but don't witch hunt in their own house out of fear of looking bad when others here about it. It is like when an otherwise respectable family has a pervert son, they try to avoid the embarrassment until it is a scandal that does more damage than ostracizing them ever would have. This is what you get. The first response to something like this should be "this is horrifying if true. We'll not act until we see more evidence, but we do not condone this." Or "this individual is no longer welcome. Begone nonce." It'll get out either way, and covering it up delays such at best and sends a signal that such is acceptable, which attracts more bad actors. Instead the first thing most people should hear about such an instance is rejection and condemnation. It'll send a message that you don't have such bad actors, and if you do you'll root them out and purge them as well as scare others away.

Destroy the infection, don't hide the symptoms.

(most) People like it for the same reason they like something like Cannibal Holocaust. Not my thing but I recognize its historical value. As always though, there's people who can't differentiate between fiction and reality and use art as a stand-in for their desires.

See it always amuses me when newer members here try to clump pedos into "oh it's the troons" "oh it's the furfags" "no it's the weebs!"
like my brother in christ the pedos already everywhere, it just seems more prevalent in these communities because we're actively hunting for it. There's not even any rise in it, there's just a rise in media attention. Remember not that many years ago it felt like every priest was a predator, or not that long ago the Boy Scouts of America had a string of arrests related to some scout masters abusing members of their troop boy was I smugly grinning when I saw one of my old scoutmasters' mugshots during this time because I knew firsthand what his sick ass wanted with me before I bailed scouts completely. I'm sure in the next decade or so we'll hit the peak of knowing which hollywood elite is who they say they are and which are child molesters.

Anyways fuck Marisa for being a pedo. I feel gross for Soundless Mound and Ouch/Hurt being some of my favorites before this, but it's not like anyone really knew at the time.
