I thought it was alright. I was cautious going into it as I ascertained pretty quickly that his political stances weren't compatible with mine, but it seemed as if he recognized it for the cringe it was.
It's typical for games of that era. I remember being hyped for Jedi Knight because it allowed you to turn to the dark side. Only the light side version of the story continues the plot and shows you cutscenes while dark side patch simply loads levels until you reach the end boss or at best shows you a part of a light side cutscene with you doing something good removed. It appears that back then developers did not understand the appeal of playing as an evil character.
I kinda like the wojaks, a good way to encapsulate an NPC personality to an easily understood image.

I think many of the references went over his head because he's not American. Especially if he played this game back in the 90s. Like the Enclave VP spelling out "potatoe" is way too obscure for Russians of the 90s.
"Romance" it's more like five lines of dialogue and a shotgun wedding.
