Yes, it was Bamalams obsession w Valo that got him in to heavy drinking.
Valo is sober since way back but Bammy didn't get the memo.
Once again Bam showing he has no personality of his own but merely imitates who ever is around him.

HIM‘s Ville Valo has spoken out on Bam Margera, saying that the Jackass star is “turning into a monster”.
Margera was a close part of the HIM universe in the early 2000s, with Margera directing their music videos and the band often appearing on his MTV shows in return.
In 2021, Margera entered a one-year drug and alcohol rehabilitation program and told Jackass co-star Steve-O that his descent into alcoholism was in part due to his obsession with Valo:
"I am an alcoholic. I have been for a long time,” he said. “I remember when I was probably 24, I was so mesmerised by Ville Valo from HIM… he would just walk down the street in Finland and girls would literally faint, sometimes guys too.
So I would just follow his lead. I’m like, ‘He’s buying a pack of cigarettes, I’m buying a pack of cigarettes. He’s getting a beer, I’m getting a beer. He’s doing a shot of Sambuca, I’m doing a shot of Sambuca.’” “Once he cracked open a beer when he woke up, that was the first time I’m like, ‘You’re drinking in the morning? In the daytime?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah, why not? Want one?’ I’m like, ‘Well I’m not gonna let you do it alone, but this is fucking crazy.’ It was the first time I ever day drank.”
Speaking to NME in a new In Conversation video interview, Valo was asked whether he kept in touch with Margera. He replied: “I haven’t heard from him in a while. I think the last time I saw him was during our last tour in the [United] States with him, which was 2017. We tried to contact him via Brandon Novack… but I haven’t been able to reach out in that sense or really talk to him.
Of the personality’s ongoing recovery, he added: “I’m hoping that he feels better because he’s a nice guy. He’s a sensitive, special fella and it’s just sad to see that he’s turning into the monster that he’s turning into. I think I can understand some of it, but it needs to stop.”

My theory is that he gravitated towards anything that would make young women swoon. Many of my friends would have posters of Tokyo Hotel's singer in their rooms and always talked about how he was their dream boyfriend and similar shit.
I agree that he seems to not have a personality besides being a totally jackass (ha) and he tries to mimick those he perceives as handsome and talented men, things that he is not.

Bam is charging $80 a photo, far more than any other individual guest.

The Con circuit is big everywhere. Bigger named guests will draw a lot more fans from further away, like Pearlman (who is sadly a liberal dirtbag) and Elwes. A solid weekend for guests charging $50 for an autograph can easily generated $25-50k. $50 is pretty much the going rate for most guests nowadays. And it is all profit as the Show runners usually pay for the transportation and hotel rooms for these guests.

Nobody could possibly be surprised by Bam being obsessed with Valo, right? He was so obsessed that he didn't even realize that he himself was more popular than HIM ever was and, further, most people fuckin thought their logos were Bam's creations and not the other way around. It's wild. I feel bad for Bam though. Dude lived a crazy life and got everything anyone could ever want, but he was surrounded by users and they used him up and then ditched him. Bet it's really easy for all his Jackass friends to look down on him now when they are all sober because he was the odd man out but nobody said shit until he was circling the drain. I remember hearing a podcast with him where he talked about Viva La Bam, and how MTV would just give him a few million bucks to film every episode and he couldn't even think of how to spend it all, that's why he would end up hiring Metallica to play on a new skate park he build on the roof and shit.

It always amuses me when the publicity photo is old as hell but I certainly can't blame Bam for not getting new photos.
And that reminds me out of morbid curiosity I did watch like a half hour of Haggard which is free on YouTube and I have to give props to Bam for an independent comedy it is surprisingly entertaining. Don't get me wrong it's no hidden gem but when it comes to indie star vehicles I'd say it's remarkably good. It allegedly was made on a half million dollar budget and it was filmed competently and that Bam directed and edited the movie during the golden years of Jackass is amazing. Also it makes me understand why Bam had such high regard for Ryan Dunn beyond homolust, Dunn was a good actor and delivers a solid performance. The worst actor in the whole movie is Bam who couldn't emote written lines to save his life.
Had Bam transitioned to behind the camera he wouldn't be hiding right now possibly with Rob Swavely. At the very least he'd probably have a lucrative business as a music video director.
Fun Fact: In Haggard Bam's character is named Valo ala Ville Valo.
Fun Fact 2: That advertisement doesn't mention Haggard's spiritual sequel Minghags, which has to be unwatchable judging from the trailer.

BJ is a fascinating character because she doesn't seem to be raking eceleb money like other lawtubers. I kinda hope she gets a spinoff thread in the Beauty Parlor/Internet Famous.

I can feel sympathy for him to a degree, but he's had decades to figure his shit out. At the end of the day plenty of other people who were in his shoes fucked up their lives, but they managed to pick up the pieces. For all those opportunities to fuck his life up, he's been given a lot of chances to fix it. He just keeps choosing to ruin it.
