It seems Rumble is being more careful with their spending. So if Rumble is backing out on big deals like they did with It'sAGundam (1 or 2 months ago) then this evidence goes towards Nick's contract not being renewed. Or being renewed at a much lower price. I'd be shocked if they renew.

A bit late and slightly OT but Gundam was really put on the map due to his funny DSP lore videos especially after he accidently jacked off on-stream (DSP not Gundam). He's second only to Tevin with his encyclopedic knowledge of DSP lore and his DSP videos are pretty good.

Also, about Rumble. I think they really got hurt when they signed Glenn Greenwald as a tentpole draw to do a nightly show and then his husband got sick and delayed everything by several months after they dumped a ton of money into development (studio, set, etc) plus whatever they paid him. (I'll never get used to typing the words 'his husband'). Anyway when he finally started the Rumble show it got off to a pretty good start (according to Greenwald) but seems to have stagnated. He promotes the hell out of it on his twitter every day now as if things aren't going well. I don't know the view numbers but I've followed his twitter for a while and there's a marked recent change, approaching a look of desperation.

This 100%. Alcohol messes with the endocrine system which regulates the body’s response to changes in the internal or external environment (i.e. changes in body temp, electrolyte consumption etc.). Alcohol is also known to cause episodic flushing and favors the face, neck, or upper torso. I recall he’s also on Provigil, of which a listed side effect is flushing. Mixing it with alcohol can exacerbate this reaction. He’s a douche canoe and would lose the “heat allergy” if he’d stop willingly pumping his body full of shit, but of course you can‘t enjoy your 15 years of degeneracy without chemically altering your mind to cuck out or knot simulate your wife. Consequently the only thing that will stop this moron is his body failing on him completely.

He always has said he doesn't *need* alcohol, he *enjoys* it and if alcohol went away, he would have no problem with leaving it behind and can easily do without it if he wanted. This is really common in alcoholics who hide how much they're actually drinking and almost never admit how much they consume until they're ready to get help.... and considering how little he sleeps he ends up sipping a glass to steady the beggining of the shakes when he's making 5 am ramen.

I went back to about 5-10 minutes into the stream, and.... Nick has cancelled!

There appears to have been a miscommunication about whether the stream would occur on Camelot or Nina's channel, so Camelot will be going on Nina's channel later tonight, but Nick has straight up cancelled.

Nick canceling on his coom brother is hilarious. As much as he can abuse the good will of his audience, the other streamers who make a living at this without a guaranteed contract take the daily grind much more seriously.

You used to have to send 20 USD (4 month of LOCALS subscription and 1/3 of a yearly revenue) to get his attention immediately and a 2 USD minimum to wait until the end of the show. Even factoring in YT's 20% larger cut, 4 bare minimum YT superchats a month beats the LOCALS subscription in revenue to Nick.

Nick radically changes his business model that was working very well for him and this is the result. The only way I could see this kind of distributed cost model working is if he manages to grow the consumer base. If anything, Nick has contracted at the expense of Rumble.

If I were Rumble, I would have guessed that they saw his YT superchat engagement and said that they would be happy to take 1/3 or less of what YT was making and count it a win. I would be upset at the non-correllative relationship between YT superchats and Rumble Rants.

Why has Nick changed his whole model? My guess is just pure laziness. He is tired of the grind. He is a shark that stopped swimming and is sinking and suffocating. Of course he couched this in the early days as 'I want to take Big Corpo money and just do the show for free!' That seems exactly what he is doing, but Rumble is not YouTube and cannot operate at a loss indefinitely.
