That checks out, a big part of the growth of suburbs from the original post-war 1950s form to the more modern McMansion types in the late 1960's and 1970's was from people fleeing cities after Civil Rights was passed. Well not directly because of Civil Right, more because of the racial violence and wannabe commies and social decay and drugs and economic hardship turned urban decay.

Everyone loves waxing poetic about MLK and Johnson's Great Society, but everyone wants desperately to ignore the Malcom X types and black panthers and massive collapse of black families thanks to welfare incentive pressures and fuckers like Weather Underground literally doing double digit bomb attacks in a year.

The commies are still ass blasted that 1917 was a one off lightning strike and their glorious revolution never spread worldwide. They have spent over 100 years reworking their failed shit. The people that tried to push the revolution failed in Europe in the 20's and 30's failed, they also failed in the USA.

But they never stopped trying. So in the 1960's and 70's they attached themselves to blacks to use them as good cattle to push this shit, and retarded white college kids ate it up in places like Weather Underground and shit was pushed all around. It again failed but those failed retards were this time smart enough to have a backup plan and had lawyers and allies to get them out of jail and back to universities. And so they raised an entire generation to instead of take power by revolution do it by a Ship of Theseus type of meme replacing and corrupting all of the institutions they need to have control.

This is the best winning since sliced bread.

The school system even in blood red Wyoming, is ran by liberals.

And I don't see much sentiment from right wing or conservatives or whatever in general to just control all of it from top to down.

"The kids will figure it out".
This is what drives me mad. Traditionalists in other cultures like the Romans, Confucius, the Victorian British, they all realized that education of the youth was absolutely central in maintaining stability and cultural continuity. As long as we let education be the domain of bleeding hearts and radicals and refuse to even consider anything further than "Imma take my kids out and homeschool them!", then we're always going to be continually fucked no matter what victories we have in the present day.

I know the libertarian ideal is the American rootstock, but we're no longer a frontier society. We just have to accept that if we "just let things be", it means institutional capture by malignant deranged people and ideologies, and it doesn't matter if you take your kids out and homeschool them. They're going to be living in a society primarily shaped by those who remained in schools that indoctrinated them, and consoomed perverse media.

About the only thing I disagree with that Poast is the idea no one under 40 would be watching Tucker, though I guess if you want to be specific most people under 40 who did watch him did not do it on TV but actually on youtube or somewhere else online seeing clips and such.

It really is quite insane that some would actually think removing Tucker is somehow gonna make the public magically more supportive of the war. They really think of the media as being their tool to shape consensus and not as reporters of what goes on. It is such a smooth brain take it could only come from a Neocon RINO.

Officials at the Pentagon are cheering the departure from prime time of Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who frequently took aim at the US military over their diversity policies, war in Ukraine, and lack of accountability to the American public.

"We’re a better country without him bagging on our military every night in front of hundreds of thousands of people," one senior Department of Defense official told Politico, speaking on conditions of anonymity.

"Good riddance," a second official said.

When asked by the outlet to respond to Pentagon officials’ cheers over his departure, Carlson told Politico by text message, "Ha! I’m sure."

The first senior DoD official said Carlson "made a mockery" of the free press and "repeatedly cherry-picked department policies and used them to destroy DoD as an institution."

Carlson frequently took aim at military leadership on his show, including Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley. Carlson called for his firing after a direct order from Milley read, "If Donald Trump refuses to leave office, the United States Military must remove him by force and you must give that order."

Carlson slammed Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin for his 2021 comment that "white people are part of the problem." He spoke out against the firing of a Space Force commander who was let go after voicing concerns over Marxism and critical race theory in the US armed forces. Carlson also blasted the Pentagon’s use of an "inclusion board" to lower training standards, and to prioritize identity politics over military readiness.

On Monday morning it was revealed that Carlson and Fox News had "agreed to part ways." Fox Corporation's stock plummeted by 5 percent, wiping out $930 million in market value following the news of the popular primetime host's exit.

GDP expected: 2%
Actual GDP for 1Q: 1.1%

Dropbox laying off 500 people, Gap laying off 1800 people, but Meta increases 15% because muh AI. We're back to Obummer managed decline.
Where have all those 12 million jobs Joe Biden created gone? Oh yeah, they were recovered jobs, not brand new jobs. Suck my cock dems.

Let's take Jonestown as an example. Despite everything Jim Jones put them through - 12-hour workdays in the hot Guyanese sun, while being forced to listen to his drugged rantings and ravings all the while; being drugged, beaten, and put into enclosed dark spaces for daring to step even a toe out of line; being forced to be used as a sex slave if Jim felt like it that day; complete and total cut-off from the rest of the world - the total number of defectors at the end of it all stood at 26. That is less than 3% of the nearly 1000 people who lived there.
A number of them were away from the Camp on the day of the suicide. A lot of people didn't try because there were people with guns around the camp ready to shoot anyone who wasn't gonna follow through with drinking the kool aid. Some did slip by. You're not telling the whole story.

I miss the Marines commercial where the dude was sword fighting a demon. People said it was cringe but look at this shit we have today.

I thought the wife was AI generated.

Never underestimate the Korean makeup industry. They will catapult years of age into orbit in exchange for a bit of uncanny valley.

A rural American who grills his own steak contributes far less to the GDP than an urbanite dining at a steakhouse, but both people ate the same thing. GDP is a measurement of the velocity of money, not productivity.

Also, a lot of the money attributed to the big cities wasn’t produced there; they’re just where the corporate headquarters happens to be.

Not in this case. They need the debt ceiling raised and only the House can create financial bills. If McCarthy doesn’t cave to threats, this bill is their only option to avoid a government shutdown.

Hopefully the Republicans have realized that no one outside the Beltway cares about (or even notices) a government shutdown. The only people who complain are the media and government workers, all of whom vote for the Democrats. There is no reason to not shut down the government until the Democrats are willing to accept all your terms.

If we had a federal sales tax, suddenly the GDP would be scrutinized and celebrated, but the urban areas would get a harsh picture of how much they need everyone else. Hence one reason why we don’t have one.

Trump has stated he wants to go after the deep state. But does the Presidental position even hold the power to start lining up the Deep State, and doing a live broadcast of The Apprentice: Oval Office edition? "You're fired" "And You're fired" "Oh you're definitely fired".

Pelosi would probably make a call to Milley and tell him to get the US Army in. "We had to enact a Military Junta! To save Democracy!"

All it takes is asking the Southeastern National Guard (replace Georgia with Ohio‘s axe to grind) to pay D.C. a visit after taking power and Trump would have all the manpower he needs to “fire” whomever he wants. Remember that there are several State governors that want this shit to end so they can enjoy their slice of the pie. Don’t take that desire for granted.

With what Military? Have you seen the comments in the latest army recruitment video?

Military isn’t used on civilians. As stated above it would be the National Guard, from states that want this shit to end.

Ok. How about this little tid-bit? During Jim Jones' last speech preparing them for the mass-murder/suicide, only ONE person objected - Christine Miller, a former real estate agent. And what happened? People shouted her down, praising Jim Jones for what he was about to do, and agreeing with everyone of his comebacks.

Christine: Well, I don’t see it like that. I mean, I feel like as long as there’s life, there’s hope. That’s my faith.

Jones: Well, someday we’re gonna die, someplace that hope runs out. ’cause everybody dies.

Crowd: Right, right.

Jones: I haven’t seen anybody yet that didn’t die. And I’d like to choose my own kind of death for a change. I’m tired of being tormented to hell, that’s what I’m tired of.

Crowd: Right, right.

Jones: Tired of it.

Crowd: Applause

People. Are. Niggercattle. It doesn't matter if they don't want to do it, the will of the masses will make them comply.

Inflation is somewhere between 8% and 15% based on the prices people are actually paying for things, so 1.1% GDP growth is a steep decline in real terms.

Are those inflation statistics annual or quarterly like the GDP? Let's stick with apples to apples comparisons.
